Dreamsunlimitedtravel.com got back with me and I have a slight dilemna. We're adding on to existing plans (staying at a timeshare) and have 2 extra nights for 6 people.

We would need 2 rooms. I really want to stay at Wilderness Lodge, but it's over $900. My second choice would be one of the Port Orleans places. Much less money.

Do I book Wilderness "hoping" there will be a discount? We're booking for March 19-21st, 2005.

What has your experience been in regards to discounts? What percentage? I have AAA, which is 10% usually? I'm hoping for more.

What should I do????:confused2

Thanks so much!
Kim

Right off the bat AP and room only codes beat AAA anyday.

WL seems like it is quickly scooped up when codes come out, so a backup plan is definitely in order.

That said, rates for 2005 may come out as you get closer to your dates, but they are never guaranteed. This is why you see all us Disney Crazy Code Watchers that sit and flip from mousesavers.com to this board to bothering CRO with phone calls asking "any codes yet?"

Some people will book their choices and pay the deposit and then when and if codes come out, they cancel the ressies they won't use.

I personally, do not do this. I have booked a resort that I figured I could afford either way, code or not, because it is where I really want to go, however, that was a few days ago...I lost my job yesterday so now I may have to make a change if the codes do not come out or if I cannot get availability at my resort. A back-up plan is imperative.
