I am at the beginning stages for planning a trip Oct 12-17th. We would like to stay at the RPR Club level.

Current rates are about 300.00 a night with the Stay More, Save More Option and $311 with the Harry Potter package (which includes 4 days worth of tickets for the 3 of us and a 3 broomsticks breakfast which is the equivalent of $60).

Prices seem a little steep. Does Universal give deeper discounts during the summer for fall travel like Disney does? Would it be better to wait?

Based on what I've read, it seems like Universal has a steady flow of people after the opening of WWoHP. Given the fact that DH wants the club level, I'm curious what you veterans have to say about booking now, waiting for later. Advice for a newbie?

i'll be at rph the 4th thru 12.
since i will be there for a week, i have the rate starting at $155.30 with weekends at $188. (plus taxes)
the stay more save more depends on the number of days you are staying.

with the platinum level for youfirst, i booked the king suite without the extra charge. other words, i am paying for a standard room.

you will love club at rph.....
no other way about it!

HHN will be the main draw for that time period you are going.
i think it is one of the Hell weeks.
that is when the local schools are out for the week on a break.
maybe that is one reason the rates are running higher??

book now and modify your rate when something better comes along.
just guarantee the dates you want now.

by late august, it will be difficult to book for that time period due to hhn.
rooms fill up fast at the end of summer for that event.

i find that booking everything separate, you come out ahead financially.
packages tend not to give the best discounts.

i have been staying onsite since the hotels went up.
i have only booked a package twice from then to now as that deal was a deal.
