Need Transportation Help- Going DEC. 3-7

Hi. Newby here, and I'm kind of going crazy looking for the info that I want- hoping one of you veterans can help me out. Hubbie and I are going the begining part of December. I was thinking of staying at one of the off site hotels (either Radisson Orlando- Celebration, or Holiday Inn) but having a hard time finding out how transportation to the 4 parks is. OR, we can stay at one of the Disney value resorts, but then I keep reading that the busses are packed, but that may just be during busy season?? So, what are the busses like in early December and what is transportation like off site?

Hi there.... to the DIS boards!!
I can't say how the off-site buses are having never used them. I believe they run on a very limited schedule though. If you stay at the value resorts, my personal favorite is POP, yes, the buses do get crowded, but that is usually at particular times of day. From about 90 mins before the parks open, and then for an hour or so after opening, and then right around park closing, the buses get jammed. But, that applies to all the resorts, not just the values.
I always recommend that people stay on site if they aren't renting car. I just haven't heard anything terrific about off-site resort buses.

We went last december 11/29-12/06, stayed at all star music, and had no problems with the buses. Pop warner started when we were there, and only noticed in the evening the buses would be much more crowded from the pop kids, but found the waits very reasonable. I think we only had to stand once. I've never stayed off property, but love the fact that you can leave any park at any time and go back to your resort for a swim or rest. If there isn't much difference in price, I'd stay on property for the convenience. Have a great trip.
