Okay, I am getting desperate. I have no ideas on what to get DS6 and DD4 for Christmas. They have so many toys already and don't have a lot of space. They're not into many popular characters, except Star Wars (DS) and Disney Princesses (DD), but they already have most of those toys and to be honest, I think they are over-saturated with them.

They enjoy learning toys, but they both have Leappads, DD has a Leapster, DS has a Gameboy and an interactive globe, they both have tape recorders and books on tape. They also have legos and easels. DD has a large dollhouse and a kitchen set. DS has a large pirate ship and castle playset.

This is the first Christmas where I really have no clue what to get them. If anyone has any creative ideas, I would love to hear them! Thanks!

I'malso tired of the same old, same old. A few things I'm thinking of getting ds-6 is:

Gears! Gears! Gears! (they sell these on amazon)

Darda race set (read reviews on epinions)

Youiverse ATM Bank

Pogo Stick

Magnetix (ds-6 LOVES these, just needs more)

Science kits

How about a Bitty Baby doll for dd? They sell such cute clothes for them.

Science kits would be great for DS. He loves those volcano-building kits and the make-your-own tornado. However, I would appreciate ideas for ones that don't make a complete mess of my house. I am actually looking for some space-related stuff for him. I know I've seen a space model of the solar system that is a smaller size, but the only one I have seen in the catalogues this year is huge.

DD does have a Bitty Baby. She is very particular, and for some unknown reason, she does not like this doll. I think she thought the doll was trying to take the place of another doll that she favors. She's very stubborn.

On another thread someone suggested Rokenbok to me for my DS5.5. They are really cool and that is what he will be getting. I also love Gears and Knex.

How about a puppet theater for DD? They sell some really cute ones both stand alone and tabletop.

I've never heard of Rokenbok, but I'm going to look it up!

The puppet theater idea is good for DD too. She enjoys imaginative play. The only problem is, the puppet theater I saw in a catalogue was about $200...and didn't include puppets! I'll look around more though.

And what's a stomp rocket? I am trying to avoid outdoor toys, as New England winters prevent their use until spring.

Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I don't know what you should get them, but I do have an idea of what to do with all their old toys.

Have each of them pick out 4 toys that they no longer play with, and take the kids with you to donate them to the poor. It will help clear out their play room and teach them about charity.
