need to vent - MFI!!

I ordered my sons bunkbeds back in end Oct for there room from here as i loved the design, i knew they was on backorder till after xmas but was fine with that as we were doing there room over crimbo, but they rang me a few weeks ago to say they may not be able to source the whole order on that date but couldnt say 100% till2 days b4 delivery, i decided to wait as i rearly wanted these beds so rang on monday - 2 days b4 as intsructed and was told no its all in theres no problem , out for delivery bwteen 12- 6 on wed 9th, great i was happy till today driver rang and said im delivery this time etc etc but i havent got your full order only headboards and matresses ....whf??

i rang them and they have said they can arrange re delivery on 26th Jan but i dont know whether to trust them again, after all they told me monday they were in now there still waiting for parts, i dont know if it will turn up next time, and i need these asap/

anyone had dealings with mfi b4? good or bad? , this is the first time ive used them and im unsure what to do.
 
Never had any dealings with MFI. Over 2 weeks from one part of the delivery until the other. What good are the beds with only the headboards and mattresses:confused3

That's terrible service! I have never bought anything from MFI. Really hope you get it all sorted out.
 
wont use MFI anymore because of problems like these,booking days of work etc goods not being delivered:sad2: hope you get it sorted.

i know how you feel OP. I had a similar experience (although not with MFI).

My Mum bought me a bed a couple of years ago, which broke after just a couple of weeks. She called to replace it, they picked it up, but didn't deliver a new one. After another couple of weeks (an uncomfortable couple of weeks) they called to say they didn't have my bed in stock, but would it be OK to send a different one? My Mum (the push-over that she is) agreed to this and accepted a pretty ugly, completely different bed :headache: Then, to top it all off, the delivery driver told us that the company had plenty of beds in the original style, they just couldn't be bothered filling out the paperwork :sad2: The worst part is, the person dealing with all of this was my Mum's sister, who works for the company.
 
i just cant decide if i should wait or just cancel now , im worried theyll do the same thing next time as well, or say its gonna be longer then i could have gotten one in the mean time elsewhere, ill be pissed if i wait and then they let me down again
 
I know exactly how you feel. After our experience with them, we will never, ever buy from them again. We ordered over £2000 worth of dining furniture - sideboard, display cabinet etc. We were guaranteed xmas delivery (this was 3 years ago BTW) and, yes, the stuff was delivered on 5th December. But the dining table was delivered minus the legs. We called MFI and were told that the legs were out of stock and they wouldn't have any more in until March :rolleyes: It was so pathetic, it was untrue. When I told them I was expectng 10 people for Christmas Dinner, they did offer to lend me a table but only a small one and only if I went all the way to Bristol to collect it - never again!!!

Similar thing hapened to us last year. We decided to wait for the stuff as we really wanted it, but that we would complain in writing and ask for a refund of the delivery cost and an extra payment for the inconvenience. We only got half the payment we asked for but it felt like a minor victory, as we still had our new bathroom as well.
 
My parents ordered a kitchen & my sister has ordered bedroom furniture & had no problem at all.
