Are there any Cricut users who might be able to help me price this? It a Cricut Machine item number 45002936 Personal Electronic Cutter. Here is why....

UGH... My sister bought be a cricut machine for Christmas. I don't want it. I have no need for it. She talked to my husband about it and he told her NOT to get it but she still got it.

I told her last night that she should not have gotten it won't use it. She told me to keep it! UGH I don't want it.

I am tired of people getting me things, especially things that are expensive, that I won't ever use!

I believe she ordered it so now I will have to ship it back. UGH! That is if she gives me the receipt. If not then I will try to sell in on ebay. I have no clue what to sell it for. I did look on ebay to see what others are selling theirs for so I could get an idea but I am not sure what to sell it for.

I will try selling, or donate it to the Salvation Army. I don't want to have it sitting around my house if I am never going to use it!

Usually I am able to regift the gifts I don't want but I have no one I know of that I can give this to. UGH I AM SO MAD ABOUT THIS!

Oh and this year our family used the Elfster online gift exchange and I put what I wanted on Elfster. My husband asked me what I wanted and I said look at my elfster list. Those are the things I really want. So when my sister talked to my husband he told her the same thing I told him. Only get her what is on her elfter list. I had about 10-12 items on the list. None of them were expensive. I wanted some cooking utensils, & since we are going to Disney in Feb I asked for a $25 Disney gift card. I just wanted a few simple items. Why Why Why do people get me things I don't want!

Which Cricut is it? You may be able to try and return it to Michaels, unfortunately, you'll probably just get store credit but hey, then you can use the credit to get something you want.

Also if you want to donate it, you should consider donating it to a local school or pre-school. I donated my Baby Cricut to my DD's school and now the art teachers use it.

All it says on the box is Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter. Its in a green box. and white box. Looks like this one http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_...o=1&blockType=G1&prdNo=1&i_cntr=1324910744080

Thanks for the idea to donate it to a school!!!

I have that one but I did not pay nearly what Sears has it listed for. I got mine new off ebay and paid around $75 for it. They're not the hot item that they were a couple of years ago. If you really really really do not want it, I'd try to find a teacher friend who might like it.

The cricut personals have been as low as $59 during the weeks leading up to Christmas from Joann's and Michael's. You can try calling those stores to see what they are selling for now.

Can you try Craigslist? Or ask your sister to take it back and give you the cash?

If not, then I would suggest donating it to a local school or a teacher and then you can take the tax write-off.

Good luck!

Does Walmart sell them? Walmart is my go-to return place if I don't know where something came from. Usually, as long as they carry an item, they will take it back. They'll only give you store credit, but that's pretty easy to spend at Walmart. --Katie

I'm so sorry, but this seems so selfish to me...you are MAD at your sister because of a gift SHE bought you...that SHE paid for!? Sheesh.

Not sure why you are so mad about this? Calm down. If you really are this mad, I think there must be more to the story. If you really want to get rid of the Cricut, I would suggest donating it to your local school or children's hospital. It would be a godsend for anyone doing children's crafts and I'm sure would be appreciated.

As one of the previous posters said, I have seen these on sale before Christmas for as low as $59 new.

If you really don't want it, your best bet will be returning it to where she purchased it from if you can get the receipt or ebay.

My sister purchased me something I would never use this year for Christmas and I'm going to return it. I don't have hard feelings about it at all. She purchased my other sisters and I the same item. I'm going to see her today and will ask her where she got it so I can return it.

Every Christmas I receive presents that I don't really want. I just usually donate them to charity if I can't return them. I would never, ever get mad at a family member for giving me a gift. It is the thought that counts, not the gift.

So true!:thumbsup2
Maybe in the future, you should not be in the gift exchange.

If it was a gift why bother selling it? Just take it to Goodwill or something.

I think donating it to a school is a nice idea.

Anyway, I told everyone to not give me and my DH gifts... just give to my kids. I personally don't think it's fair for my sister and her bf to have to give to me, DH, and two kids. The same for my BIL. So, this year is the first time everyone listened to me. We have everything we need, so I appreciate being respected with my request (plus, saving them $$). Also have taken myself out of gift exchanges; once we all started giving gift cards of the same amount, it was time to end it.
