Need to make some extra money a month--any suggestions thread :)

Hi I work full time but due to budget constraints I no longer get health care benefits so I have to cover it myself for a family of five. Obviously even after all the cut backs I am over because this is a big expense. I also now have to pay for child care since my aunt is leaving---another big expense. Any ideas on how I can bring in some income after work hours? Thanks for listening I know there are a ton of these threads

If you are looking to work at home there are quite a few threads on the disboards. I have been working from home for a number of years doing primarily call center work-taking inbound sales and customer service. My main egg is liveops. work at home phone jobs has a listing of different call centers.

Do you have anything about yourself you can market? I do some tutoring on the side, it's not much, but it pays pretty well and my husband can sit with the kids in the evening. I also had a friend who used to do a parents date night. She offered every Friday evening to watch children. She had a pretty regular group since they knew it was every Friday. Some would come weekly, some once a month, but it all balanced out. She had a set amount (like 3-4) kids she'd watch overnight for an additional fee. It worked out because the parents got a discount on the childcare, but she got to really essentially do 5-6 babysitting jobs in one evening.

This is a great idea and definitely something I would take advantage of if it were offered in our area.
