Need to get my count up

I've been posting under my DD's name, now I have my own I need to get my counts up.

I can get mine up replying. But, I'm sure I heard that you can't get your count up on your own posts.

Yes, of course you can get your post count up by posting on your own thread, or else I would hardly have any posts at all! I only post on the Disboutique thread!

Well then someone is giving out wrong info. I know I saw a post a while back and someone told the poster that you can't increase your post count on your own thread. I never checked it out on mine before.
