Yikes, I last logged on in September 4th of 2012! Did I miss anything? LOL

I joined TGhe DIS is 2001 but its been so long since I was here that this section seems the most appropriate.

I think its the winter that will never end but I am having a real case of WDW Withdrawl. Its been 2 years since my last visit to the world and its unlikely I will get there for yet another year. Sigh.

Our family has been over a dozen times so I shouldn't complain but as the kids have gotten old (now mid to late teens) its harder to find the extra money but its even harder to find the time when everyone can go.


We were last there just before Fantasyland opened and I see from the mainstream media the fast pass braclests are in full swing.

So, seriously what have I missed in 2 years? What are the best new things at WDW? Tell me about your favorite things that I will have missed out on.

Gotta go, apparently I have 500 new posts to read.

Our last trip was May 2013 - we are now planning on going back March 2015. I just can't stay away

In just 2 years, quite a lot has changed. The New Fantasyland is almost complete witht he imminent opening of the Seven Dwarves Mine Train. Looks like it'll be early May. Of course, the end of that construction means more walls going up in the Hub area of MK for an extensive land overhaul designed to give more space for traffic flow. Downtown Disney is also under heavy construction as it is transformed into Disney Springs.

THe major fuss is all about My Magic +, My Disney Experience, and Magic Bands. This has given way to Fast Pass +, which has replaced the old paper Fast Pass system and lets you book 3 attractions online ahead of time if you are a resort guest. It is controversial to say the least, but technically still in a "testing" phase so the finer points could change.

Enjoy catching up on the boards, and hopefully you cana get yourself down to the World in the near future.

Thanks for the replies.

Wow "The World" appears to have taken a little nasty tone. I see from the posts many are upset with price increases and FP+ flops. So sad. Disney has always done a great job its strange to see them messing up like this.

Reading through all these posts though makes me realize what a great experience it can be though.

I completely understand, my last trip was in Oct 2013 and I can't wait to go back! Serious Disney withdrawal:-( We were married at the Polynesian in 2005 so I'm hoping to go back next year for our anniversary. It's such a wonderful place. At least Fantasyland will be complete for our next trip.
