Need to find Donald

Both times we have been to Disneyland, both off season, we have easily found Donald. In DL we have seen him outside in the main street plaza type area. In DCA we saw him in bugs land dressed in camp style clothes. I had also heard he was hard spot but we have had no trouble.

Us too off season. We saw him in the character lines right before you walk through Main Street. First thing in the morning. I thought I heard someone say there is a scheduale of when you can find the characters and the times at City Hall. I might be confusing something else I ready but I would start there! : ) Good luck! He's one of our favs! :goodvibes

Sorry! I should have read the whole thread more carefully! I think one of the kids messed with the laptop when I went to fill a Sippy cup! :confused3 So apparently you CAN go to City Hall! :thumbsup2

One year my DD just HAD to find Donald. We asked a CM to call and find out when he would be out. He was out on Main St. for 15 min the whole day, I believe it was around 1:00, I would ask first thing in the morning so you don't miss him. We asked last time we were there in March and he was not scheduled to make any appearances the day we asked.

Only character we didn't find in 2009. Kids still have same autograph books so character hunting (duck hunting in this case) will be much easier as it will be mostly focussed on one character and we can get others if easily available. Kinda neat that his autograph is more elusive by the sounds of it.

Instead of going to City Hall, I would suggest checking at the wait time board near the hub on Main Street. Sometimes they have a character host stationed there, other times the Guest Service Cast Member there could help you usually with a much shorter line then at City Hall. Many moons ago when I was a character host we had a Donald and Daisy set meeting area in the Gazebo in toon town but it hasn't been there in a while, I have always wondered why....

So I forgot to add that if you see Donald let me know too. Because he still owes me 5 dollars, a box of gold fish and a t-shirt. Don't ask........ ;)

On the subject of Donald- has anyone else noticed there are very few shirts available which feature only Donald? I have been looking for a Donald shirt forever, and they usually only have him on shirts which also feature other characters. To complicate matters, I wear a 3x, so even if I find a Donald shirt, it never comes in my size.

I'm starting to think the reason Donald is always throwing a temper tantrum is a basic lack of respect all the way around!

When we were at DL in early May, we walked in one morning right at opening, and lo and behold! Donald Duck was in the main area right at the beginning of Main Street. So exciting, because it is our third trip in five years, and we had never seen him. And he is my 11 year old son's favourite character.

On the subject of t-shirts, I completely agree! I was on the lookout for Donald t-shirts and the only ones I found were a) way too big (wanted one for my son, and maybe myself too), and b) had a phrase on it that I didn't really want. I just wanted a picture.

It isn't an "official" Disneyland shirt but I just made some shirts with Donald for our Father's Day trip on Zazzle.com I was able to personalize it and everything. ;>) just don't try and put "Disneyland" on it. :sad2:

We have found Donald in Toon Town after the whole opening and I did see pictures of him up on top of a float in the new parade! If you have Verizon and a phone that will run the app (weird that my Driod is not one) they have a great one that you can punch in the info to find characters and it is tied into the DLR system to get wait times for rides. It is called Mobil Magic. Very nice and then I had to upgrade my phone and it isn't compatible. Trying MouseWait this trip. :confused3

Later!

Last June we saw him at GK's Character Breakfast. Only time we ever saw him, never saw him in the park.
