Need to change the number on a reservation

So my friends might not be able to go on the trip we have planned in December. Most of the reservations I made for them so I don't mind getting rid of, but I want to go to the Ohana dinner I have. Is there a way to change 4 to 2 people? Will I get charged the no show fee with only half the people?

No charge as long as part of your group shows up.

No. You can try calling to reduce the number but they may want to cancel the reservation.
No. You will not be charged as long as someone shows up

The restaurants rarely have an issue if your party is smaller than the reservation. We've had the experience of having our traveling companions not be able to make an ADR for one reason or another. I just tell the CM at the check in desk that there will be two instead of four, and it's never been a problem for us. It's a bigger problem if you show up with more people than are on the ADR, but fewer is okay.

I wouldn't change anything on any ADR until you know for sure they are not coming. It would be difficult to get them all back.

Agreed. I wouldn't mess with the reservation. You won't be charged if only 2 show up.

Ok thanks everyone! I'll leave the reservation as is. It's looking unlikely that they'll be able to make it due to money issues, but if they are able to last minute at least they'll still be able to come eat with us.
