Since they are now using RCI, will I be able to change it? If so, will it then still be II or be RCI instead? Any ideas? Thanks

You'll need to talk to DVC. Others with deposits or searches with II have been told they have limited options and that all travel must be completed by the end of this year. You'll also likely be limited to what's sitting in inventory rather than a new search option. Let us know what you find out.

I cancelled my II ressie last week. It was for Williamsburg Marriott supposed to check in tomorrow, but with the Inauguration, our plans were monkeywrenched so we can't stay there.

I was in the latest penalty window, so I can rebook/retrade into II no more than 30 days prior to checkin. I will have to pay another $95 when you rebook.

You can also get a guest certificate for someone else to use by paying the $95.

You deposited with II so your points remain with II.

We have until Dec 31 2009 to use the points.

Just for grins, I checked their 30 day availability for Texas and Vegas and it was not bad.

We will most likely try for a long weekend close to home (easy trade) or Vegas or go down to the wire and see if we can't get HHI for Christmas week which is very offseason, but we planned on returning.
