Need to change a ressie...but to what?!

Hey everyone! So my family and I were going to eat at Tony's, but then we changed our mind. What other restaurant would you suggest going to for people to get a good/steal of a deal on the dining plan? We would like to stay in the MK, but if you think somewhere else is way better for what you can get with the dining plan than we may leave the park. We are all adults....oh and did I mention this is all happening on Sunday?! HELP!!!! lol

I should first say that I haven't been to DW yet (only 2 more weeks!!!) so I can only comment on opinions I've read here on DISboards.

It sounds like you have the DDP. Both Liberty Tree Tavern and The Plaza have great reviews as far as food quality. Both are 1 TS credit. The Plaza isn't quite as good of a "value" for using a credit, but the food is supposed to be wonderful and they have milkshakes that apparently are great!

You might also want to consider eating at any of the monorail resort restaurants since you are all adults. You can take the monorail to one of the resorts from MK. Look into Kona Cafe's menu and see what you think. Just about everyone loves Kona. This is the restaurant I'm most excited about on my trip...even more so than eating at Narcoossee's!

Are you talking about THIS Sunday? The 29th? In that case, take anything you can get. Go to the Disney Dining web site, plug in the MK, the date and select supper, but not a specific time. Don't select a specific restaurant- it will show you all of the restaurants that have dinner availability. Pick one and make the ADR.

Right now I'm seeing limited availability for only a few times, but most of the MK restaurants have at least a few openings. I guessed and selected a party of 4, so if you have a larger party ADRs may be more limited.

Like the previous poster said, you may not want to cancel your existing reservation until you get a new one - this close to your arrival time. If you are looking for sit down, we love Liberty Tree Tavern. Columbia Harbor House is a great counter service location in the magic kingdom.

We also love Kona Cafe in the Polynesian resort for breakfast and dinner. We haven't eaten lunch here before.

If you are willing to hop on the monorail you can jump over to the Polynesian and go to Kona. We really liked it and it has a nice menu...

I would try Kona, Ohana or Grand Floridian Cafe, or Whispering Canyon, all a boat ride away.

Another vote for Kona Cafe. Worth the trip on the monorail.
