THIS IS THE PROBLEM.....

WE ORIGINALLY BOUGHT INTO WLV IN 2000 FOR 150 PTS. WE ONLY HAD ONE CHILD AT THE TIME. WE NOW HAVE 3 CHILDREN (2 BOYS 1 GIRL). IN ORDER TO ACCOMODATE ALL OF US IN THE FUTURE WE WILL NEED A 2 BEDROOM. THAT MEANS PURCHASING AT LEAST ANOTHER 200 PTS. ARE THERE WAYS WHERE PEOPLE CAN USE A ONE BEDROOM OR STUDIO TO FIT A FAMILY OF 5?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! ::MinnieMo :wave2:

Wow! Ten minutes in and the thread is still open. :)

Posted occupancy of a 1B or Studio is 4 plus one child under the age of 3.

If you need to accommodate five and don't want to splurge on a 2B, consider two studios.

Well, you're fine until the youngest turns three.. (occupancy is four plus one under 3...)

We just spent 4 nights in an Inn room at Vero, its getting tougher and tougher each year, DD is 11 and DS is 4, we will do a 1 BR next, but if I get more points, it will definately be a 2BR. You do get spoiled with DVC!

These post should never be closed. They asked for advise and got it.

The appropriateness of the question is never an issue, but the manner and location in which it is debated usually is. In threads similar to this, the board moderators will usually answer the question and close the thread. Further discussion is welcome and encouraged on the Debates board. But there is really no need to clog up the other boards rehashing the same issues over and over again.

Afraid to jump in the deep water here, but..
We checked out the SSR models the other day, and the guide told me his friend's family came down and put seven in a 1 BR! Don't shoot the messenger, I just found it interesting that a DVC rep would say that. We are only a family of 4 so it's a non-issue for us, thankfully, but those 1 BRs at OKW are bigger than some houses...

Boy, I bet they had a great time  I can only imagine how uncomfortable that must have been.

The DVC reps keep verbally stating things that are not allowed in the agreements and rules - bizarre

Maybe they are turning up the sales heat?

thanks

Could you please provide more specifics about reservation being considered. I understand you want a 2 bedroom, I ask due to:

We also have only 150 points, but are staying at BCV this July for Sunday through Thursday stay counting 200 points. Yes, I had to borrow 50, but I could do the same stay the following year also and borrow 100. Could even do a third year in a row if borrow my entire 150. That's all three years in a 2 bedroom also.

So that is 3 consecutive years of 200 point, 5 weeknight stays, with only 150 point contract. I'm not staying longer, but if you wished to, most seems to suggest paying cash for the weekend night instead of points anyway.

So why 200 more points? Anyone agree or disagree with my math. Yes, I know I'm staying home the 4th year, but I expect to have added on by then anyway.

Thanks,
Rex

REGARDING SSREX ......WE WANTED TO AVOID BORROWING POINTS AND ALSO WANT TO STAY FOR AT LEAST A WEEK. A 2 BEDROOM FOR ONE WEEK IN THE DREAM SECTION IS AROUND 350 PTS. THAT IS WHY THE EXTRA 200 IS NEEDED.

FT Wilderness cabins hold six people and are about 25 points a night. I plan on staying there in a few years when I take my cousin and her family of four to Disney.
