Does anyone know if Disney sells their ECVs when they no longer need them and have to replace them.

They are very expensive and my dad needs one, but because he is able to get up and move around the house, for periods of time, Medicare won't cover. He is on a limited income and can't afford one (he only gets $425 a month between SSI and his pension, which is not a lot.

I can't afford one as I am now contending with repairs to my home due to the hurricanes that have hit Florida.

If anyone has any information, please let me know.

I don't know if WDW sells theirs when they no longer need them, but my best guess is that they use them until they are no longer usable. The ones they have are pretty old looking, large and very clunky. You also would not be able to transport them because of their large size unless you had a wheelchair van.
You would have better luck either contacting one of the off-site places that rent them or looking in want ads. Some of the off-site companies are full service medical companies and may have some used ones to sell from time to time. A lot of people sell used ones in want ads when they trade theirs in for a newer model or the person who used it no longer needs it. I've also seen them on sale on ebay.
When you are looking, you want to look for ecvs or sccoters. Power wheelchairs are differnt. They are usually controlled by a joystick, take a little more practice to drive and are a lot more expensive than ecvs.
