I have never done this before, but now a small collection of HM pins that I would like to display. I bought a three "photo" shadowbox type frame, which is more like a regular frame than a box. I was thinking of covering the mat with the HM wallpaper design (do not have color printer, so this should be fun!) then putting 3 postcards or photos of the HM in the three picture holes. Then do I just stick the pins through the mat? Should I put some other type of material or foan in there so I don't mess up the original mat? How do you keep the pins from falling out? Is there an easy way to cover the mat with the HM wallpaper?
Any advice is appreciated!

I have no advice but I just wanted to say It sounds like a fun project.

I bought a photo frame at Animal Kingdom back in 2000 that has cork around the outside. I collected and traded for pins that described my trip. We did the cruise so I put our cruise photo in the frame and stuck all the pins into the cork around the outside. I really like how it turned out.

Have fun ,
Chessie

You should post on the Collector's Board. Nat, one of the moderators, has done lots of pin framing projects and so have others.

Nat has shared some of his projects. They are fabulous! I think there are even a few on this board.

I've got lots of pins that I'm planning on framing but only have one done so far. I used scrapbook paper to cover the mats and just stuck the pin in the mat board. The frame & mat I used had the black box detail already there and I wanted to keep it. Tried to cut the scrapbook paper to fit the box but didn't get the edge to work that well, fixed that with thin black border strips. The mats have to be a little thick to account for the pin but in general just regular frames should work.

Here's a picture:

I'm also going to try something like chessie described, we had a picture of my DD done with Figment at Imageworks and I'd like to frame and then put all her Figment pins around it.

Haven't started project yet, but trying to get out of lazy mode!
Can anyone give links to the pictures of their completed projects?
Thanks!
