Need Tips from all the ladies!

Neutrogena sunscreen (no tint) in SPF Gazillion (or 70, something like that) and then powder. I tend to avoid any kind of creme or liquid based makeup in the FL humidity.... you melt in minutes. Powders (esp. mineral based ones) seem to hold up a lot better.

But I am 100% with whomever said just don't worry...no one knows me there anyway

Oh! And for hair, I swear by Goody Spin Pins, which hold my thin hair in place all summer (because I hate blow dryers!)

- Waterproof Mascara
- Make-up Forever products---you can find them at Sephora, they are all waterproof. I like their eyeliner.

Hair- I'm getting a keratin treatment done a few days before we leave...its sort like the brazillian blowout.

Shiseido Sunblock - absorbs oil and has the best physical UVA blocker I can find

Urban Decay Eye Primer - keeps shadow and liner in place all day

Fiberlash Mascara - doesn't run, even on bottom lashes!

I flat iron my hair every morning while at Disneyworld and that seems to keep the frizzies away all day.

Neutrogena sun block and no make-up. I can't win when running around the parks each day with make-up - I've found I look WORSE when I wear it. If I'm not going back to the room before a "nicer" dinner - I'll throw my regular stuff in a bag and apply before dinner. (In the bag I put in a locker!) Plus - WHO CARES? By 1pm - nobody looks like they just did their hair or make-up.

Hair - I've got slightly curly hair and I find that "a little extra" of my normal curly hair gel is enough to prevent the frizz. I've also used a Bumble and Bumble de-frizzer - I think someone else mentioned that, too.

And I'll second that comment that the most important thing is to smile and have fun with the pictures you take. I've found my BEST photos are when I wasn't thinking about what I would look like in them. Best smile, best eyes, best expressions.

What are these things? I hate blow dryers too--I have curly hair! Even with the defusers and all my curls look horrible after blow drying!

I used Bare Minerals powder, bronzer, and mineral veil after setting with a primer.

Clinique High Definitions and Maybelline One By One Waterproof Mascara worked well for me and didn't seem to smudge or flake, but it may also be due to my mascara base (mine was Lancome) which seems to make my mascara less dry and flaky feeling.

MAC smudge-proof/waterproof eyeliner that I usually had to reapply come late afternoon.

I cannot help you with the makeup question. While I do own some, I rarely wear it. The only time I needed makeup in Florida was when I went to my sister's wedding. It was professionally done, so I did not bring any.

For hair, I buy a cheap bottle of Frizz Ease by John Freida from Target. It works well. If you live in a dry environment, I would not buy anything more expensive than that. My bottle always expires before I can use it again, since I do not need it home. You can use your regular shampoo and coniditioner as long as you have pack the Frizz Ease. Just remember to rotate your shampoos every few months, so your hair "thrives rather than dies." Quoting my long time hair stylist there.

We use Blue Lizard sunblock, and my dermatologist supports that decision.

I made sure to use waterproof mascara and eyeliner...kept the essentials on me throughout the day to prep for photo opportunities (foundation compact and lip gloss). My hair is just a lost cause though in that FL humidity. haha

well luckily for me the florida weather actually somehow makes my hair softer and easier to style (i'm canadian) so i wash(with whichever shampoo/conditioner i bought), blow dry and flat iron every morning and it just stays that way! sorry i can't be any help on that subject

as for make up i use my normal make up routine except when it's all finished i spray my face with urban decay's DEW ME setting spray and it keeps my make up in place all day.. the only thing is that i am very oily so during the day i'll also carry around a pressed powder and just apply it every so often to take the oil away!

Spin Pins are corkscrew styled bobby pins that "twist" into your hair to hold it in place. Google them and check them out. I think they're usually between 5-7 dollars for a pair of them, but it is WELL worth the price.

A tip about sunscreen and makeup ... if not already obvious, is to apply sunscreen to your face and let it dry before applying makeup. A lot of liquid foundations, too, also have some sunscreen included already.

For my Disneyland trip this summer, I used a lotion-based sunscreen on my face in place of a regular moisturizer. No burns, and the makeup remained in place between touch-ups.

Neutrogena makes a great line of high-SPF sunscreens just for faces -- I love those b/c they work great under make-up.

Definitely invest in some Bare Minerals "Mineral Veil." No matter what other makeup you use, this will keep the shineys at bay w/o looking cakey.

Another good option would be to try a foundation primer. Smashbox and Sephora make good ones. That will help your make-up "stick." Definitely look into waterproof mascara/eyeliner.

For me, hair is the biggest challenge, but I live in the South, so it's one I deal with everyday anyway. Anti-humidity hair products do help some, but I have a few go-to hairstyles that I know can handle the humidity and still look photo-worthy. They all involve pulling at least some portion of my hair up/back! Play around before you go and find out what works for you.

There's no shame in wanting to look pretty while at Disney

Didnt read all of the posts so forgive me if someone else already suggested it but.....I put my hair in a pony tail with a clip on (fake pony). My hair is much thinner from meds and the fake pony doesnt frizz! I also wear a visor as instead of a baseball cap.

I always get it from Walgreens. We live in Vegas, and it is carried at every Walgreens I've seen here. Check your local Walgreens or whatever drug store is nearby where you live. Once, I even saw it at a CVS. It is not sold at Target, Wal-Mart or any store like that to my knowledge.

I totally get where you are coming from! I too have very curly hair that seems to get even curlier on the humid days. I am a type of person that if it is going to be a hot and humid day there is no way I am going to be able to straighten my hair so I just deal with it and "work" the curls ! Don't skimp on hair products, my beautician told me this was a must especially in the hot and humid months. I use a Curl Enforcer shampoo and conditioner made by Redken - I'm sure other brands that is a curl enforcer - I just always use Redken. When it comes to products for styling I find that using Paul Mitchell's Extra Body Sculpting Foam along with Redken Soft Spin 05 in my damp hair seems to make my curls more manageable. A few months ago my hairdryer over heated so I then went out to splurge on a good hairdryer, a 1875 IONIC watt dryer with a diffuser attachment, the higher the watts the better. If you are not one who likes hairdryers then disregard that. Finish it off with an aerosol hairspray because that won't weigh your hair down.

As for the makeup... I don't use much in the summer except for a foundation, blush, and powder (the pressed powder is my best friend on humid days, and I use Clinique because that seems to wear the best for me. I'm quite picky when it comes to sunblock for my face and some seem to be greasy and heavy for the face. Neutragena makes a good facial sunscreen, but I found that I like Clinique's facial sunblock a lot better.

I hope my post isn't an "overdo" of what you were wanting.... I just wanted to help you out with the same tips my beautician gave me. Good luck with everything and have fun on your trip!

I heard dry shampoo for oily hair works....I have the opposite problem...I have curly hair and it hates humidity (guess Florida isnt the best place) for the raccoon eyes try an eye primer ( I like urban decay- you can find it at either ulta or sephora)
