Need ticket help w/ GAD and FD

Hello,

I am trying to understand how to use GAD tickets with free dining, or save them or ??? We currently have 2 day tickets for all of us (2 adults, a 3 and 5 yr old) with free dining. We also have 2 GAD tickets. Can we use the 2 day tickets for the kids and "save" the 2 day tickets of the adults and just upgrade the GAD ticket to a 2 day ticket? Can we add a water park to the GAD tickets and also just the kids tickets, or would it have to be all of the tickets, so we should just pay OOP for the kids......

Any help would be much appreciated.

When booking a package everyone has to have the same ticket. That being said you can upgrade any ticket at the parks or DTD(unused or within the first 14 days of it being used). So you can take the GAD vouchers, enter MK (or whichever park you decide) and add another day plus water parks and save the 2 day tickets for another trip. Also add waterparks to the kids tickets while you are there.

You can upgrade the GAD tickets to whatever you need - multi-day MYW, AP, water parks fun and more, hopping, etc. You will receive a credit of $79 for each ticket, so your cost will be the cost of the ticket you are upgrading to minus $79 plus tax. Since the GAD vouchers must be redeemed by December 15, I'd use them when you go and save the 2-day tickets from your package for another trip. They will not expire until you use them.

Like the PP said, everyone has to have the same ticket when you book a pacakge. But once you have checked in, you can upgrade each ticket individually (or save the two you don't want to use now and upgrade the kids' tickets and your GAD).

Alternatively, you can redeem the GAD vouchers for the Fastpass cards or for the figurines and the pins, or you could donate them. But if you plan to return to WDW (which you almost certainly will ), the two 2-day tickets can be saved and upgraded to whatever you need for your next trip. You will be about $300 closer to affording it since you will already have two tickets!

Yes, unless you add the no-expiration option. Adding WPFM to any ticket, regardless of length, is $55.38 per ticket. For a two-day ticket, you will receive two entries to the water parks (or Disney Quest or the Oak Trail golf course).

Adding no-expiration to a 2-day ticket is about $19 per ticket.

You have 14 days from first use of the ticket to use all your theme park days AND the waterpark visits if you add that. The cost to add the waterparks to each ticket (adult or child), regardless of how many days are on that ticket, is $52 plus tax. If you have a 2-day ticket and you add the waterparks, you will get 2 visits to the waterparks (or DisneyQuest, Oak Trail Golf Course, WWoS).

Yes, once you receive your tickets, you can change them however you want. You can add water parks to the kids' tickets and upgrade your GADs to add water parks, leaving you with 2 unused 2-day base tickets that can be upgraded on your next trip.

One more thing - GAD vouchers can only be redeemed at the four main parks and must be used for admission on the date they are redeemed. But you can upgrade all four tickets at the same time.
