Need tent camping recommendation...

Time to ask the experts...
What month would you recommend as the best for tent camping and why?
DH and DS's are insisting we try this and I am hesitant (to say the least.) Thought I'd start my research. Thanks for any help and any / all opinions are appreciated.

October, not too hot not too cold and not too busy.

We enjoy tent camping in February. It can get a little chilly at night, but we have a small tent heater and a blanket, and we're fine! Much better than being hot in summer!

I agree with above - October is also a great month!

I've tent camped at Disney in December, and most of the time it's great!! It has also been really cold too, but I bring an electric mattress pad and electric blanket and keep toasty.

Away from Disney, I've tent camped year round, (without electricity), and just brought appropriate clothing and bedding. Battery operated fans help in the summer.

I would say November is a great time to go, but later in the month it can sometimes get pretty cold at night. So yea, October/November are both great times!

And I agree with Rhonda, February is another great time, the weather is gorgeous for most of the time. Just always be prepared, because this is Florida, and you never know if one night it's going to be 30 degrees, and even in winter the days can get warm at times!
