Taking my daughter and some friends to DW and am looking for fun things specific to teens(14 yrs). We haven't been since the kids were much younger and princess dressup probably aint gonna cut it this trip.

Any and all suggestions welcome.

This could get pricey, but let them roam around a few of the stores in the World Showcase in EPCOT. Even if they don't end up buying anything, it's tons of fun to browse around.

They have pearl kiosks in DTD and Japan. You basically pick the oyster, they get the pearl out of it right there in front of you, then you pick a jewelry setting to put it in. Also shopping. Shopping shopping shopping.

Sadly, things for teens aren't clearly labeled. So you have to search and roam a bit to find some extra things that teenagers would have fun doing.

14 year old girl who just went to wdw here! Personally when I went I went with my parents and my sister (also 14), what my parents did was let us go on all the rides we wanted as long as the two of us were together, sounds simple enough and leaves you to look at some shops while they are on the ride. Also the pearls in Japan are awesome, not just because I love Japan but because what girl wouldn't want her very own pearl (fingering mine now) they are $15 each and you can pay to have them made into earrings or rings, etc. Hope this helps!

All the things above are good.

When I go to Disney, I go for the whole trip. The rides, the characters, the atmosphere. I don't think age will change that. There really isn't any thing I have done over the years that was done specifically for my age.

Definetly explore World Showcase of Epcot (specifically France), that's always a lot of fun.

Also, be sure to hit the water parks. Speaking as a teenage girl, that's always one of the most fun parts of the trip.

Most importantly though, let them roam around on their own in the parks. Disney's a safe place, and it's always more fun if it's just with your friends, even if it's just for a while.

Don't worry about it though, there are tons of teen-oriented things that they'll discover on there own and have fun with. They defienetly won't run out of things to do.

Personally, I never needed anything extra like doing certain 'activities' to have a good time at Disney. The rides, the shows, the parades and everything was just amazing.
I think, if she likes Disney, and seem enthusiastic right now about the trip, that she'll have a blast whether you do something extra or not.

@_@

Lucky Duckies!!
I wish i could go to Disney World with friends!!!!
that would be the best,

but you all should go on Rockin' Rollercoaster for sure,
and Test Track :]
I am 14, and love those rides with all my heart

Are they into video games? Try Disney Quest.
Do they like shopping? Try Downtown Disney and World Showcase.
Do they like rides? Let them do the rides alone.
Do they like fancy/dress-up events? Maybe try going to Cirque du Soleil or doing a behind the scenes tour. Or even a nice dinner at one of the nicer restaurants.

I think just being down there and doing the rides/shopping will keep them occupied and amused. I know it did for me. I never needed anything special. I just loved going from ride to ride and the occasional shopping spree in a store.

maybe let them each take out one of those boats on the lake or take them to do a spa thing with hair or whatever

Don't do anything too boring, like that show at the American Pavilion. Just let them look around the shops, go on rides they want, that kind of thing. As a teenage girl, I can say a pretty good percent of us have short attention spans, so if they don't want to do something, don't make them.

I love the World Showcase. We spend most of our time there on the trips.
My favorite is hands down China and Japan. I just love the scene and shops.

Don't put all teenagers together like that. I know a large percent of just the teens on here are very articulate and intelligent.

I said a good percent. Most girls at my school are like that. Besides, you can be intelligent and have a short attention span, and not want to watch the show at the American Pavilion.
