Hi Everyone, I am hoping you experienced ladies and gentlemen can help me out. We are heading to CSR Oct. 17-23 for our childrens' first trip to WDW. We have 4 girls, ages 6, 4, 2 and 8 months. We will also have our 4 other grown up family members travelling with us.

On to the question... My DH's birthday is Oct. 21 so I would like to do something special for his birthday. What do you suggest? Also, are there any other restaurants that we shouldn't miss?

Thanks in advance!!!

I'm not sure what your husband likes to eat - I know many people like to go to California Grill for special occasions, where you can see Wishes from if you can get the right time for dinner - it is 2 TS credits on DDP. There's also leCellier in Epcot which is well known for steak. Also, you can arrange to have cake for his bday at the restaurant. You can call the dining #, and they can give you details, and they will include it on the reserv., and he may get special treatment! When you go to parks, get him a bday button to wear(at Guest Relations), and he'll get lots of well wishes, and maybe special treatment there as well! And you probably know about the free admission on bday(or GC or Free FP) that Disney is promoting this yr.

As for other meals, I think CRT would be magical for your princessesprincess:-expensive OOP or 2 TS, but definitely worth it for my DD to eat in a castle and meet Snow White. If you want less expens. option, try Akershus princess meal in Norway, or 1900 PF Cinderella dinner. Chef Mickey's is also a lot of fun(we did 1st nt. on our 1st trip) and CP in MK was an awesome breakfast :goodvibesw/ my fave ,the Pooh gang. All of these have great character interaction, and you get all your pics/autogr. out of the way w/no hunting & waiting in lines in the parks. Also, you can try to get early entry reserv. & get into MK & get pics in front of castle w/no one around. If you haven't been on allears.net, check it out - they have menus w/prices, and which charc. are at the meals. We had no DDP since staying off-site most of 1st trip, and did these three meals, and loved them. Hope this helps!

P.S. Make sure to call/go online on your 90 day mark to have the best chance to get what you want!

I have never been to Ohana's but if you like cobblers I heard that is a good place to go to get one! My next trip is August 1-8 so if you would like my opinion on it, i will be sure to tell you. Even for little ones I also heard that there are hula hoop contests and coconut races. It is one choice to decide for yourself and your stomache! ha ha ha!:cool1:

O'hana is great! but........they don't have cobbler, their signature desert is Banana bread pudding. It is THE BEST desert in all of Disney! I don't believe they have any other deserts. Your husband would probably love it if he likes meat. It is all you care to eat, and they bring different meats to your table until you tell them to stop.

We also love Le Cellier and Teppan Edo at EPCOT. If the kids are going along, they will love O'hana or Teppan Edo. They are both fun places. Le Cellier is a good steak place.

First, how wonderful that you are going for your children's first trip--it is always special--that first one. And I hope you enjoy CSR--it is our favorite resort.

Can you give us an idea of what your husband enjoys eating? It might help us make some good suggestions.

We just took our first family Disney trip & also stayed at the CSR. We were very pleased with the resort and would definitely choose there again!

California Grill was wonderful so that's one I would recommend. Be sure to arrive early & request a window table. We were in awe of our table location and felt it was one of the best in the restaurant.

Also, Tutto Italia was one of our favorites, too. The food was delicious and service attentive.

Narcossee's would be nice for your DH birthday dinner....good for all ages & you can watch Wishes from the balcony.
Extra perk you can order a wonderful cake from the GF bakery!:cool1:

You mean Cinderella, right?

With 4 girls I would suggest Akershus if they're not all particular about seeing Cinderella (who is at Akershus sometimes, but sometimes not) but especially if they all have a different favourite princess, since the appetizer buffet is great for toddlers --they still eat free. If princesses are not their thing, I highly recommend Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends, since it is served buffet style -- kids can eat from either the children's menu choices (pretty much the same as all TS and CS restaurants) or the adult's choices (lots of meat and veggies)

BTW, we much prefer the adult menu choices at Akershus, although they're not to everyone's liking, and the desserts are divine. A photo with Belle is included in the price of the meal.

Thank you all for your suggestions! We are using Fairytale destinations to arrange everything so I am going to give them all the ideas you gave us and see what they can book. Since there are so many of us, I am sure getting table reservations will not be too easy!

I am so excited about taking my girls for the first time!!! (We are also going on a Disney cruise in March so we will have a Disney filled year!)

We did a party of 10 at Akershus -- 6 at one table and 4 at another (right together) We were able to get the ADR about 1 month before our trip.
