Need suggestions on another TS...

OK... I've revised my schedule a bit, but am need of suggestions...

Day 1 - nothing scheduled
Day 2 - MK - ADR for Be Our Guest supper
Day 3 - AK - ADR for Chefs de France supper
Day 4 - Epcot - ADRs for Akershus breakfast and Via Napoli dinner
Day 5 - DHS - Taking boat to Epcot for late lunch/early supper - Chefs de France or Rose and Crown???
Day 6 - MK - ADR for 'Ohana breakfast and then Chefs de France or Rose and Crown for supper?
Day 7 - Park undecided but currently Epcot - ADR for 'Ohana dinner.
Day 8 - ADR for Kona breakfast - departure day

Help with:
1. I need a suggestion for Day 3 - the AK restaurants don't interest me, so need something not located at that park (I do have park hoppers, but don't want to spend TOO much time traveling).
2. I have a 6:55 ADR for Rose and Crown for Day 6. Should I keep this? I picked that time for Illuminations, but I'm honestly not sure that we will want to stay for this (is that crazy?).
3. I wish I could move the 'Ohana Day 7 ADR to a MK day, but no luck there.
4. As you can see I am slightly obsessed with getting to Chefs de France, but need to just pick one day unless it is THAT good. ;-)

Any other suggestions?

1. Check out the AKL restaurants: Boma, Jiko or Sanaa. They're all excellent. Plus you'll have the chance to explore the resort and perhaps use the night vision goggles to watch the animals from the outlook, or listen to the storytellers.

2. Keep it. The food is decent. It's too early to hog a table for Illuminations, though. Have dinner and leave, either to stake out a place for Illuminations on the Promenade or do something else.

3. Keep checking. Cancellations happen every day.

4. Gee, d'yah think?. You've got it pencilled in 3 times. I'd do it for the late lunch on your DHS day. There is really no difference between the lunch and dinner menus. And no, its not all that great. But its not bad,neither.

Ok thanks... yes I have it penciled in because I'm trying to decide which day to go, not because I plan on going three times! If Rose and Crown is too early for Illuminations, then I'll do Chefs that night and Rose and Crown the DHS day... thanks for the input!

Any other suggestions for other TS restaurants besides the AK area ones?

I really loved Raglan Road.

Since AK closes relatively early, you'll have time to get to any resort restaurant. But you might want to look at one of the DS restaurants as a change of pace. Raglan Road is good and both the Boathouse and Morimotos are getting good reviews.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Keep them coming! I made a rookie mistake and grabbed a BOG adr for 7:40 but now realize it is on a mvmcp night and we don't have tickets. Do I need to give that one up?

I will scope out the menus for the AKL restaurants. To be honest, we're not very adventurous eaters / like that type of food but I know people rave about them.

My family went to Sanaa while I kept the younger kids, and they insisted that it was one of their favorite meals. Boma in the AKL is delicious as well. I found that the food was not "adventurous" but pretty tasty. It was not a favorite of most of my family, but I loved it.

WE really like R & C, but do not care if we see Illuminations from there. Truthfully, we end up eating and then enjoying the show from the outdoors. I have never seen it from a restaurant. In fact, dinner at Via Napoli and ehn we just walk out to enjoy the show. I would not spend on second trying to plan an ADR simply to sit at a table during Illuminations, while I have timed dining to coordinate with Wishes every single trip.

Which brings me to your BOG dilemna. I would cancel that one ( youneed to if you do not purchase tix) and then book an ADR at one of the Grand Floridian restaurants. Perhaps the Grand Floridian Cafe still has openings, and time it for either before or after Holiday WIshes. You can then enjoy the show from the Marina or from the veranda at
Narcoossees.

I would keep your 'Ohana dinner. WE like the travel time it takes to get to meals in the evening. I think it is kind of like the ride home after a long day at work. That drive separates the work mindset from the home mindset. WE like the ride to dinner after we freshen up. It is the sepaation between hective parks and relaxing dinners.

One thing you coul do on your arival night is to head down to the Epcot resorts for dinner and check out the decorations. WE think it is one of the best aspects of a Holiday trip

In AK we are big fans of Yak N Yeti, but if that doesn't appeal to you flame tree has great BBQ. Or as others have suggested Sanaa at AKL is a wonderful option.

For your epcot dinner, not sure why you are leaning toward rose n crown but our favorite Epcot restaurant is Via Napoli. Love, love, love their pizza. Teppan Edo is also good and a ton of fun.

I am not sure you are too early for Illuminations with your R&C reservation. We typically make a reservation for 7:30 and wind up eating dessert during the show. It is something we enjoy doing every trip. If you get there and don’t feel like staying, then finish and leave, but if you order drinks/appetizers, then a meal, then dessert, it is possible to be there for over 2 hours.

We have also had a great meal at Hacienda de San Angel, but it may not be great for unadventurous eaters.
