Need suggestions on 3 day/hopper please :)

We will be taking our 7yr old grandson to Disney the first few days of June before heading to Universal. We will have 3 day hopper passes and I would love some suggestions on how to use those. Which parks to combine each day? Is one park better at night or less crowded? We will be staying onsite at Pop Century Resort. Any and all responses are welcome and appreciated.

We are doing this exact thing with our 9 year old grandson in 4 weeks, also staying at Pop.

My plan:
Tues 2/26 MK 9 to 5ish then monorail to Epcot for PM EMH and Illuminations.
Wed 2/27 AK during the day then back to MK for fireworks & PM EMH
Thurs 2/28 open day
Fri 3/1 DHS then boat to Epcot for last chance to see Illuminations again ( my favorite)
Sat 3/2 check out & over to Universal til about 6 then to the airport for an 8:45pm flight home.

Your plans sound great! Have you been to Universal before? If not you may want to consider taking off a Disney day and adding an extra day at Universal. Lol my grandsons favorite place. He wants to stay at Universal longer than Disney believe it or not.

My daughter works for Universal so we have been there many times. My grandson is spoiled by all the special/extra attention he gets there
