Need Suggestions.....Boma????

We are going to Disney, leaving this Friday and I am so excited. We are going to MVMCP on Sunday 11/30 and are trying to decide where to eat dinner before hand. I was drawn to the ones I know are good, we are big Ohana fans, hubby said maybe try something different. So I am up for suggestions, have heard great things about Boma, but will somewhat picky eaters be OK here? We haven't done Chef Mickey's thought about that. We are eating at Garden Grill the night before. We like Cinderella's castle, Tony's at lunch. I would love some suggestions.

On our last visit we tried both 'Ohana and Boma. Boma ended up taking the honors as my favorite WDW restaurant with 'Ohana a very close second.

Quite honestly I didn't find the food at Boma overly exotic. Some people have said that they don't care for the seasonings but I enjoyed all of the different tastes. I think the dishes sound a whole lot more exotic than they actually are. The soups are superb. The dishes are very different from what I have ever had before but I didn't find anything to be strange or weird.

I was absolutely stuffed after our trip to 'Ohana but didn't feel that way at Boma. I think it was because there are so many different dishes to try at Boma that I ended up taking a little tiny bit of everything just to try.

I'm a big fan of trying new restaurants everytime we visit WDW, so I would recommend giving Boma a chance.

By all means try Boma -- for dinner AND breakfast. I tried all sorts of things and didn't find anything I considered strange. There's so much to choose from that you can have a very bland or very exotic meal. Each item is marked, and I didn't have any trouble avoiding things I didn't think I'd care for.

The truly, truly picky among you can eat the food from the kid section plus items like salad and fresh fruit and breads -- but I'm guessing they won't need to.

If you like the tasty salad/chicken at Ohana, Boma will have PLENTY of similarly tasty things for you to discover.

And I also recommend it for breakfast -- for $11-12 it's 10 times the breakfast you'd end up paying $8-9 for in your resort restaurant.

Another vote for Boma's. My DW is a very picky eater, but she surprised me last trip when she said she'd be willing to try it. She loved it. We now make a stop there every trip. Like the others have said, the food is unbelievably good, and not nearly as scary as the names may lead you to believe.
Make sure to try the desserts, especially the zebra domes.

yes, we did BOMA right before the MNSSHP last year, and it was perfect! We didn't find it overly exotic, either, just varied in their selections. We're going back again this year, and it'll be our dinner for our first night there!!!

We just had dinner at Boma about a week ago. My DH and I are both fairly fussy eaters and we both enjoyed the buffet tremendously. The soups were fantastic, the prime rib was very good too. The zebra domes were the best dessert, we thought. We tried bits and pieces of other things and were pleasantly surprised that we liked them. Boma was fun, interesting, and had great food!

Yes, you definitely must try Boma's

Disneyvoice has expressed our exact sentiments on Boma's

Boma has replaced Ohana's as our favourite. Everything we tried, we loved. There is enough variety there to please picky eaters. Tomorrow I'm going to be making one of their soups here at home.

The service is suberb as well. Our server was excellent with our children and brought back extra dishes herself that she thought we would love. At one point she noticed that dh forgot to get hummus with the bread, so she decided she'd go back and get us some herself.

We were never rushed, so never got that stuffed feeling. Whereas, at Ohana's, although the food is very good, we felt very rushed.

Also, AKL is beautiful and you could go outside and see the animals.

We love Boma so much that we'll be eating dinner there twice in the next three weeks, and breakfast at least once!

The food was wonderful, and my very picky father-in-law rated it as his favorite WDW restaurant (he's a steak-and-potatoes kind of guy who hardly ever eats anything else).
