I am trying to get an ADR for breakfast at Chef Mickey's on SAT Dec 15th and was told they are booked up. Should I put Disney on my speed dial and call every day or am I wasting my time - should I just just cut my losses and resign myself to eating somewhere else? What are the chances a reservation will actually show up?

Hey! I was a Front Desk/Guest Service CM at Contemporary. Chef Mickey's usually up as soon as the day becomes available (I forget if it's 6months or 3 months out). But, speaking from experience, if you want to eat there, get there at 7am! That's when they first open, and most of the people that have priority seatings at that time are late.

Ofcourse, you can also keep calling every few days to see what opens up. I've been fortunate enough to be able to book Cinderella's Castle for breakfast for the following day, just because someone cancelled.

Good luck!

Thanks for the response. I actually could have gotten an ADR for 7:00 am, but I know we can't get there that early!! I told my DH I couldn't get the ADR - that I booked Kona Cafe instead and would keep trying for Chef Mickey's - he said Kona was fine with him and it was my choice whether to switch to Chef Mickey's or not. It's just DH & I and we love the characters at Chef Mickey's - we also have a tradition of getting a Christmas picture taken at Chef Mickey's every year for my Mother. But I know Kona Cafe would be good food, so now I'm torn what to do. Any opinions ???
