Need someone to capture pictures 1/3

I hope that the Magic leaves on time next week. It was an hour late today so the camera at Two Palms was already off.I did see a RCCL ship pass by though.

I'm about 90% packed. Just the last minute stuff. I'm ready to leave early Thursday.

Man, we got just about the whole group up tonight, almost just like a chat room.

Brack, I do hope we leave on time although we WILL be on the ship and enjoying many of the luxuries even if we don't get to sail away right at 5 PM (and the days are getting longer now).

Shouldn't we be in bed yet?!?!? How fortunate LVTravel that you can have your extended family living with you!!!

Dare I tell everyone that my DH has been quite ill??? He missed 3 days of work last week (absolutely unheard of!). He is feeling better now but I am paranoid about getting sick on the cruise. BTW, DH was the only one that did not get a flu shot!!!

We'll be on the ship after 1pm because the DCL transport doesn't pick us up until about noon from the Swan.

I love watching the ship pull out from Deck 10 but it was really dark at 6pm. Plus the Two Palms cam will be off by then so we can't get a picture of us leaving. Even had said that it will still be great and we'll be having fun.

Brack, yeah, you lucky people get to go to WDW before and after the cruise. Must be nice. And 2 weeks on the ship included. Must really be nice, I'm jealous.

At least I will get to go for one week. If things work out OK, the DW & I will be driving to FL about the 1st or 2nd week of Feb. for about 2 weeks. If that doesn't work out we will be also doing a back-to-back cruise (alas, not on the DCL) so the DW can recover from some minor surgery. If she stays home, the work will constantly call her and she wouldn't get the rest she needs.

Hey, anyone know where they will be during sailaway??? LVTravel, I know your GD is similar in age to my DD (1 month from 11 year birthday). We are planning on being on being on deck 9 on the starboard side. Our cabin for the cruise is 8032.

That's a great idea for a recovery time. It's the same kind of thing for us at work. Maybe I'll plan the same thing for some kind of recovery this spring. Carnival goes out of Galveston with some good prices. Nice time to rest.

Amy, you try living with them! Actually only my mom is living with us and the DS, DDIL, DGD & DGS live about 14 miles away from us. It is great to have grandkids, we can spoil them and then give them back to the parents. (That is what grandparents are for.)

Keep it a secret, but I wouldn't trade my life with them for anything.

Amy, we normally go to Deck 10 (the same place we are having the meet on the 5th) but the pool farther forward (just aft of the pool). That way we can overlook the "closed pool" where they hold the sail-away party. The music is not quite as loud and the crowd not quite as pushy, plus I get some great shots of the mouse and friends from there that you can't get from the floor.

LVTravel, I think we will also try for deck 10 on the sail away...we were on deck 9 last cruise and it was VERY crouded!!! It sounds like you love your extended as much as I love mine...they are great! We are bringing my husband's parents with us in 7052. We are staying in 8032, I know my daughter would love to meet your DGD if possible!!! See you soon!!!

Not yet. I'm sure that Meghan will want to get together with all the other girls on the cruise. She is a little shy but she is a great girl.

I have their names and emails if you would like them for your daughter. As I have said in the past, emails and other info only go out if it is publicly posted or if I get specific permission to distribute to our DISers on the cruise.

Need to place my imput - would it help if Norm and I go down to the Jetties and take the digital camera and take the pictures then somehow get them developed and send them out to whomever wants them or better yet I do have a movies camera or maybe a still camera - who knows, but I would be more than glad to help - also does anyone know where this "two palms" is here at the port - I have scanned the port looking for this location and it beats me - I will have to call the port authorities and find out.

Dear Shirley & Norm~ I LOVE YOU!!! You are so awesome to volunteer to take digitals for us!!! If you're set up to do it, you can load your digital pictures onto your computer, then you can just email them to us... If you get them developed onto a CD, you can also just email them to us.. I'll PM my home email address shortly.

I'm not really sure where Two Palms is, Jim is keeping that a secret... from what I can figure out, it's down the beach from the port. The camera must be on a building, but set back from the beach... usually we see the Magic or Wonder going by about 15-20 minutes or so after it leaves Port Canaveral. I don't know if that gives you an idea of where it may be located.
Some people have figured out where it is, as I've seen them partying and toasting in front of the camera.
