Hi All,

We are thinking of staying at Contemporary for 2 of the days of our Nov/Dec 2004 trip. DD9 thinks it would be cool to see MK from our window - Which leads to my ? What do you ask for to get MK view? Whick part of the Contemporary is best to stay in? Do I ask for Tower rm w/ MK view? or garden view w/MK view? I know I am not making sense! Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Yes ask for Tower MK view. The view is unbelievable. I don't think you can really see MK from the wings (I could be wrong). You will be told it's not guaranteed but we had no problem getting ours and we checked in on Memorial day weekend. Also ask for an odd numbered room. You can see MK from your bed (so I have been told) I will find out our next trip. We were on the 6th floor and when on the balcony you could hear the train horn that circles MK. We loved it.

I just wanted to add that if you want to have a great view (or at least try to!) of the MK be sure to book a tower room and request MK side/view. We just got back from our trip and even though we had to wait for sometime to get our room (they had assigned us a a king sized bed room, midway down MK side, but with our dd 5 1/2 we knew she would do better in a queen bed instead of the pull out bed), it was wonderful. We were on the 11th floor the last room and even though we had an even number room (it's true odd numbered rooms have the bed on the wall away from the MK so you could see it all in bed) was great!! We had the choice of taking what was already cleaned which had the 2 queen beds but it was at the opposite end of the tower (far side) and the cm checking us in said the view of the castle wouldn't be that good, but if we wanted to wait... :-)

Just my thoughts and experience!

Good luck getting the view!

PS - I've heard (but never got a room in the north garden wing) that if you got a room there facing the parking lot that there are some that you can see the castle. Not sure how many or whatnot - but I believe they do exist. Hope this helps!

I have a question... If you are in the tower with an MK view do you see the parking lot too or is it something else? Hope this makes sense.

You will be looking out towards a portion of the parking lot, but you will also see the MK to your right and straight out over the lagoon you will see the Grand Flordian, and you may be able to see the Poly to the left.

Thanks All - this is just the info I needed!

Please be aware that there's a huge difference in price between the Tower rooms and the Garden Wing rooms.

If you look *out*, you'll see the lagoon, the MK, Floridian, and the Poly. If you look *down*, you'll see the parking lot. I was so excitied by the "out", I hardly noticed the "down".

But even the roads and parking lot were interesting in their own way - I enjoyed getting up really early (~5 am) and watching and listening to Walt Disney World "wake up" from my balcony.
