Need some ressie help, please...

We need some advice from anyone who wants to chime in...here goes...

DB and DSIL would like to join us at OKW Fri,Sat, Sun nites Jan 31-Feb2. We have a studio booked for those nights for us. (I know expensive point use...but we gotta do what we gotta do ) We've booked those 50 points by borrowing from next year. DB and DSIL will pay cash for their room, but are looking for the least expensive way to do so. They would like a studio as well.

Or do we "upgrade" to a two bedroom (135points) by either borrowing more points, rent out additional points to cover the "upgrade", rent 50 points for their studio and call it a day, or can a cash ressie be made with a DVC discount...??????

If I've left out any primo info - please ask...Any and all suggestions, as always, are MUCH appreciated! Thanks all!

if you make a reservation with the DVC discount you must stay in that room - your DB can't.

I would go with reserving a studio on points. Less trouble and far easier to do. If you have the points.

I have taken a 2-bedroom traveling with friends and family - I won't again - they get their studio and I get mind!

How many people will there be? Can you "live" with your brother & SIL for a few nights in your studio? Just a thought ...

Another option is rent the room for yourself, and change the reservation on points to you DB&DSIL. you should get 25% off the rack rate of $254 + tax, that is still $637 for the 3 nights. Renting 50 points would be less. Good luck deciding. If anyone has an APs you might be able to get a better deal. Last year APs got about 45% off, better than us owners get.
