I've been looking at hotels on Hotels.com, Expedia, Priceline, Travelocity, and Bookit for a few days stay in October. Just one hotel room for two people. Since there's only two of us, we are not interested in a condo, villa, or anything more than a hotel room, but I'm getting really confused with all these sites. :scared:

Which one do you like the best and why?

Do you think there's a lot of difference between a 3 star and a 3.5 star hotel?

No, I really don't think there is a lot of difference between a 3* and 3.5* hotel. FWIW, I almost never book on those sites. I always book either on the main hotel site itself or I will book on an opaque site light Priceline (name your own price) or Hotwire. I would use Trip Adviser to select a hotel or I would ask for recommendations here.
