It seems we always go back to the same places and I looking for some new ideas.
The ones we ALWAYS go to are CP, LCDF, PF, CP, BOMA, LTT, HDDR, CM.
Toying with the idea of the LUAU or the BBQ show. Not sure if they run year round...

DD (10.5) is growing out of the *PRINCESS MEALS* and just likes a good meal, although we still LOVE buffets. We don't do AK anymore because dd passed out in the heat and REFUSES to go back there.

Can anyone suggest some news ones for us? We are going back to the world in NOVEMBER, for Jersey week and SOON I can make ADR's..

We really enjoyed the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. The storyline was a little cheesy but the dancing and the fire twirler more than made up for it. The food was good too.

When you say BBQ are you talking about Mickey's Backyard BBQ or the Hoop Dee Doo?

Mickey's Backyard BBQ.
Which seating area did you have?

I figured you were talking about the Backyard BBQ and not Hoop Dee Doo but wanted to make sure.

We sat in Category 2 seating at the luau because we were on the dining plan. We were seated to the left of the stage (as you face the stage) at the second or third table back. We could see pretty well and were not disappointed at all.

I know I have pictures somewhere. If you want me to post them, let me know.

Coral Reef is a must do for us.The food is good and the atmosphere with the aquarium is awesome! Plenty of non seafood options on the menu in fact my boyfriend gets steak every time we go there and has never really been disappointed. I'd say definitely try it once at least to see the aquarium.
Also really enjoyed Mama Melrose on our last trip, first visit too. Service there was sorta slow but the food was worth it.

I may put the CR on our list. Haven't been there for YEARS.
Went to MM last trip and will never go back. TOO spicy for me.

We are going to try Mama Melrose and Le Chefs De France on our next trip for the first time. I can't wait to try 2 new places. Yay!

The SoA Luau is really fun, and the food is good!

The Wave at the Contemporary is good.

Another newer place that we like is Yak & Yeti at AK.

We are a big fan of Mama Melrose at DHS.

I've been saying the same things... so I've been looking around for places we haven't done, or haven't done in the last 4 trips... We always enjoy Beirgarten, but we ALWAYS go there so this time I think we'll skip it. We tried Teppan Edo last time for the 1st time, and really loved it.. We'll do that again, but maybe not this time. We like Ohana's .. We've done San Angel Inn and were impressed with our meals. Might try that one again. We're thinking of Cape May Cafe'... Does anyone have any opinions on that place? Coral Reef is nice for the atmosphere. I don't remember if we loved the food, but the tank was really cool. We're also trying to decide which character meal to book.... and if Hoop Dee Doo is better than Mickey's back yard BBq?? post opinions...

We love (including my 10 year old DD, since you said yours is that age), Cape May for breakfast and dinner... Garden Grill for dinner.
Also Sci Fi for lunch or dinner, Mama Melrose....Ohana for breakfast....Whispering Canyon Cafe, Trex and Planet Hollywood.

All we've found to be good food, and kids enjoy them too!

The Trails End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness has a good buffet. And you mentioned something about bbq...we LOVE Ohana for dinner...those huge skewers of meat prepared over the fire pit are great...not to mention their bread pudding is to die for.

We ate dinner at Cape May for the first time on our last trip. It was the best bufft meal of our trip. What about 1900 Park Fare for character meal? One of our favorite character meals. Another nice character meal (breakfast) is Tusker House.

Rainforest is great. We love Whispering Canyon for breakfast, haven't done lunch or dinner, but the breakfast was so good we did it twice on our last trip. Sci Fi is good if you stick with the basics burgers and onion rings. Tuskar House great breakfast. We haven't done too many dinners because we're usually to tired to go anywhere. Those are some of my favs.
