Excellent choice! Suzy Boggus had a song years ago called Letting Go, about a daughter growing up and leaving for college. Made me cry every time!

I would start off with "A Child Is Born" by Barbara Striesand..

Then during the difficult teen years, "If I Could" - also by BS..
