I'm clearly a bit dense.... But we've not been to WDW since the FP+ system came into place. I've read the FAQ and here's my glitch in understanding. I asked on the FAQ FP+ thread but heard nothing but crickets

We've saved for years. Bought our ( ok, my) dream RV a few years ago in the hopes of snowbirding for the next couple years. This Jan/Feb/Mar is our maiden voyage. Was supposed to be last year, but our DD got married and depleted our vaca funds.

Ok my point is... We bought AP's, have A month at Orlando KOA Jan 21-Feb 21. Then move to FW Feb 21- Mar 9. So at 60 days I can begin FP reservations. If I understand there is a limit of 16 days of FP I can do the first seven days, then a rolling after that? But I read somewhere AP's can only have a limit of 7 in total?

How then do I get any for the offsite month? We basically are doing the parks a day here and there over all. Especially once I get to FW, I may not leave it much. I feel like I'm coming home!!

Maybe I'm way over thinking. We'll have time to do whatever we want, but those rides and hard to get FP's are what I'm worried about.

I certainly am aware this is a darn good problem to have....:hippie:

dizzy2,

The one thing I have heard is that for on-site reservations, FP+ can be made beginning at 60 days in advance generally speaking. Off-site guests have 30 days in advance. But that's for regular ticket guests an you have an AP.

You might want to review the entire FastPass FAQ in general on the Disney site. There are specific questions and answers regarding AP and FP. And it should answer your questions about your off-site stay too.

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/passholders/reserving-fast-pass-plus/

and finally...

Hope this gets you pointed in the right direction.

I read and read it I felt like high school again. The more I read the less information was retained.
I guess I was afraid of any fast passes made for the onsite portion would cancel out any available to me the preceding month if there is a limit to how many you can have in total.

Honestly my time at the Fort is so important to me, we'll do less park time by the time we get there.

As it is, my husband made need to peel my hands and legs off the nearest tree or fence I can latch onto our final day. I may stage a sit in and refuse to leave

The way I read the policy, I think I understand your concern. If you have an "Offsite" stay that overlaps your 60 day ONSITE stay e.g. offsite stay of November 1 - November 10. Onsite stay December 1 -December 10, you can schedule your "Offsite" passes starting October 2nd, but you can schedule your ONSITE Fast passes starting October 3rd. So if you schedule 7 days worth of FP+ for your November trip, you cannot schedule your December Fast Passes until, at the earliest, November 1 AFTER you have used that first days trip.

I do understand the reason for the policy. Some folks would have a constant 30 day out FULL 30 days of Fast Passes as a "Just in case". (Okay, I know it's extreme, but I can see that there are some fanatics that would do this). Certainly it could be abused if this policy wasn't in place. This just seems like another case of where the policy is put in place to prevent others from abusing but hurts those who are trying to use it properly and maximize it.

I totally agree! It makes sense you can't have 20 days of repeated fast pass hogging. Then expect 16 days hardcore scheduling. Not my style anyway. Our first solo WDW trip without kids is more about dining , absorbing sites and atmosphere, and ok plenty of wine

We have 30 days offsite and then 16 subsequently onsite. We will for sure not doing back to back hard core hopping. But want to get the hard to get on rides etc on fast pass. I really want to FW portion to be laid back and so chill I'll resemble a tree.....

I guess my perfect scenario would be five or six days during the 30 of planning rides and days in parks. Then a few more scheduled during on site. The rest just schedule during the trip and take it as it goes. It's been six years since we were there except when I checked our DD in for College Program. We couldn't afford parks and I only stayed 2 nights. We've been saving for a couple years for this dream trip.
