Need Some Line Waiting Ideas

my 15 month old did really well in the lines last year, but we were there at a time when the lines arent long at all. she mostly liked watching the ride (on things like dumbo, where you can see the ride from the line), playing with stickers, or watching people in line. i think the longest line we had was on "its a small world" and it was maybe 20 minutes. im hoping for short lines again this year as dd is now 27 months old and a lot less patient when she knows that something fun is in store. im hoping stickers and daddys cell phone will be entertaining for her, as well as talking about the previous and upcoming rides and dinner plans.

When I took my granson last October he was 3 and a half.
We loved playing with Pal Mickey when we were waiting in line. Mickey would tell jokes and sing songs and keep us entertained.
We said nursery rhymes like "1,2 Buckle my Shoe "and "5 Little Pumkins Sitting on a Gate." (We were there during Halloween season.)
I also brought some glow in the dark Glitter rings and bracletsI bought in the $1 section of my Target store.

My DD is 8 We play that 20 questions game. Its small and fit real nice in her fanny pack.

Thumb Wars, hand tricks (if you know any), number guessing, movie guessing, pocket sized games like picture it, usually most people won't care if your children are a little noisy!

There is a great thread going on in one of the other forums that's called the character game.

You could modify this for the ages of your kids. Basically you give three clues of a character from any Disney movie (make sure it's one they've seen) and then see if they can guess.

There is also one called The Next Person which basically can be modified too.
In this one you say something like " The Next Person likes Mickey Mouse." The next person (child or parent) says Yes or No and then they say a statement and so on. This could also involve others in line if they like playing games and the kids could make it their own.
