I'm getting down to our trip & am printing out some mini-spreadsheets to help me when we are in the parks. Here's some background on the group (me , DH & DS (6)), our third trip to WDW as a family. Took this trip as a "cheap quickie" since we already have PAPs. We are not looking to see "tons" but looking to relax on this part of our vacation (we are spending next weekend & the part of the week before the trip with my in-laws in Hershey Park, PA)
Wed- 16thArrive in WDW around 8pm-flying in from Rochester, NY -check-in at CSR
Check out resort-never stayed there before, grab a quick dinner at Pepper Market and maybe a swim before bed
Thurs 17th--BB in AM, back to resort by mid afternoon, take a quick nap or rest
Mgm for SMC Parade, PS for Mama Melroses @ 6:50PM, Fantasmic @ 9PM, may try to ride RnR or ToT, or check out something else in between. Just saw that the added a 10:30 show of Fantasmic so maybe the later show would be better?
Fri 18th--Going to try to hit AK for EMH at 8am, ride Kilimanjaro, ITTBAB, Pangani, etc..--some things we haven't taken the time to do. Later we would ride Dinosaur, Kali, Primeval Whirl. We'll have lunch @ AK, then head back to the hotel in the mid-afternoon.
No dinner plans, but we would be going to MK for Spectro, FITS & e-ride night.
Sat 19th--Sleep-in and relax!
We had thought about doing a water park but we are thinking of just hanging by the pool & maybe checking out the Disney outlets at Belz or something like that--bad day to go there though? Later we'll hit Epcot for dinner and the WS, then later go to Illuminations.
Sun 20th--Maybe hit MK for EMH and hit some Fantasyland rides, then back to the hotel for a quick nap before checking out. We don't leave MCO till 5PM so we could also head to DQ & DtD for some last minute fun
My worry is that since we are not on a "schedule", I didn't make PS for anything but Mama Melroses. Do you all think that will be a mistake with July crowds? We are not looking to have lots of really special or fancy meals, everyone is used to not eating tons here in the summer-light meals and lots of fruits, etc... so I am thinking we should be ok with the Pepper Market and some counter service like Flame Tree or Tusker House at AK, anything in the WS, and Columbia Harbour House at MK.
How do these plans sound to you all? We will be going back in jan 2004 for 9 days so we are trying to do things now (water stuff especially) that we probably won't do then. Any suggestions?
