Need some interview P&PD please

Things may be looking brighter with my job search, and if anyone has any prayers and pixie dust to spare I could use some.

Yesterday I had a second interview for a position, this one a phone interview. It went very well, but it's down to three people including myself. The interviewer said he would be contacting someone with an interview tomorrow sometime.

Also, I had another interview with a different company last week. This one is related to the industry I've spent the past 10 years in. I have equally high hopes for this one, and doubt there will be a second interview since I interviewed with the person whom I would report to and his regional manager.

Not only that, but I have an interview with another company scheduled for tomorrow morning. This one could also be a good opportunity.

I'm a little afraid of telling much in the way of details because I'm afraid of jinxing anything.

Any prayers, pixie dust, and well wishes would be much appreciated.

Oh Matt something will happen soon. It is so frustrating looking for a job. It always takes longer and is harder than you expect. Then all of a sudden you will be getting offers. Years ago I read that it takes one week of looking for each $2,000 of your annual salary. On that basis if you make $50,000 it takes 25 weeks. I used to help people with their resumes and I would tell them that it takes 10 resumes to get an interview and 10 interviews to get an offer, but you could go on 30 interview before getting an offer, but then you would have 3 offers. I don't know if that holds anymore, but it used to work. Those are very conservative numbers and people do beat them. It took my son a year and a half and he ended up taking a huge pay cut, but he did turn down jobs in the meantime and he is so happy in his new job. Such a change from when he was constantly stressed and so miserable.

One last thought - don't forget those thank-you notes. It sometimes makes the difference. \
