I'm planning a 7 day Fantasy cruise in October 2016, for my wife, two daughters and one grandson. I was looking to book a 1 bedroom concierge suite for my wife and me, and a large porthole cabin for my two daughter and grandson. A few questions, will they be able to board with us? Can we all dine together? And if my daughters plan a late night out is there a problem with my 4 year old grandson spending the night in our cabin?

you can all board together as long as you do not use the concierge lounge. not much of a 'lounge' anyways imo. make sure your reservations are linked and yes, you can dine together with no issues. as to grandson spending the night, absolutely. no issues there either.
have a great cruise, enjoy your time with your grandson.

They cannot board early (or whenever you want as a concierge guest) with you but you can all board together with their boarding group (depends on the PAT they get). He can sleep in ur cabin (no one's checking sleeping arrangements) but cannot use the concierge lounge or sundeck. If he is going to sleep in ur room, let the room steward know and consider tipping him/her a little extra. They may or may not be able to go to the concierge events (character meets, happy hour, etc) with you depending on ur concierge and location (ie if it's in the concierge lounge).

We recently spoke to concierge about our group with some traveling concierge and some not. Anyone in our group NOT in concierge will automatically be put in boarding group 1, according to shoreside concierge.

I have seen this occur in port on a limited basis, ie a family in a stateroom and parents not in concierge in another.

I think if there was say 4 in concierge and more than 4 with them, they may say no.

Also remember that guests not legally staying in Conglcierge (as in named ON the reservation and IN the cabin) are not allowed to attend the cocktail hours or special events such as the character meet.

Not always true. We were not concierge but my sister's family was. We went to a character meet, a happy hour, and we're even given a litgograph by my sister's concierge. It was great to be included, but I would not expect it to happen. Just depends on the concierge host.

I was responding about boarding cards and embarkation, not character meets or happy hour, yes concierge guests can invite other cruisers to them, at the discretion of concierge hosts.

That is not necessarily correct. They likely can board with the concierge group. They just have to wait until the rest of the concierge group waiting boards first. Then they will allow up to 3 cabins to go with the concierge guests. We have done this before. More than once.

I guess everybody's concierge-adjacent experience will be different. Again, I wouldn't expect anything since you're not paying for any of the concierge perks, but it's nice to enjoy them when/if they happen.
