We're trying to work out how is best to plan out the day. We think most of our guests will be staying in villas near disney or onsite.
We're planning to get married at Casa Feliz in winter park so we'll arrange transport for everyone to get there. We are wanting to just keep it simple, we're planning to have the ceremony, drinks and then a meal. There will only be about 20 ppl max as we are all coming from the uk.

Trouble is we're not sure what else to do or what timings to go for. I don't want to be travelling about to much or the day to feel to disjointed from being in one place to another.

We like the idea of going back to disney for fireworks but this would mean having to change out of my dress.

My other half said it would be nice to have a little rest then have a meal in CG or watch the fireworks at Epcot/ dessert party? Or I thought maybe we have a big family breakfast and get married later in the afternoon and the meal evening.

Does anyone have any Suggestions or ideas? We would have a couple if young children with us do we need to take that into consideration too.

You could still wear your dress if you did a Wishes dessert party, couldn't you? Or have a meal through Grand Flo private dining?

You could do a dessert party or a meal in Epcot or a private dinner at California Grill, depending on what your budget is. You wouldn't have to change out of your dress if you did CA grill or a Wishes dessert party at the Contemporary or the Grand Floridian—only if you did an IllumiNations party inside the park.

You do not have to change out of your dress for an illuminations dessert party. You just have to be escorted/driven back...you cant wander through the park.

And yes any private dining meal not in a park you may wear your dress also. Trust me ive asked several cast members :)

Would they let you do this it your not a disney bride though? And do you have to pay extra?

We like the idea of CG, but it is pricey tho. But you it be cheaper to a table and to order from the menu or arrange private dinning?

Where is the dessert party location at the contemporary?

Is anyone able to give me an idea of what the rough costs would be on private dining and a dessert party?

They will not permit you to wear your wedding gown in the park if you didn't have a DFTW, unfortunately.

The food and beverage minimums for a private event at CA Grill range from $2,500-$3,500 at dinner, depending on the room. So, yes, with only 20 people it would be cheaper to make a regular group dining reservation, unless you think you'll spend more than $125/person on food and beverage for them.

The dessert party locations at the Contemporary are at the convention center Porte-Cochere and West Patio.

So those are the CA Grill prices above; others depend on what venue you're considering. A basic dessert party in Epcot at one of the standing-room-only venues would run you $335 for the venue fee, $23/person food and beverage minimum, $12.95/person without park admission and then the cost of transportation if you don't want to to walk in from the International Gateway, plus 21% service charge and 6.5% tax on everything but the viewing fee and transportation. At the Contemporary you're looking at just a $500 food and beverage minimum for the West Patio, with no viewing fees, no venue rental fee and no transportation fees. The Porte Cochere food and beverage minimum is $1,000.

Ok thank you that's helpful.
Do you have a dessert party menus? I found some pdf's but no text appeared on them.

We have about 4hours at Casa Feliz but I just feel like we might need something extra to do either before or after and although we're having a cake and buffet meal there my other half thinks we'll need to plan another meal. Just can't think what options would work, cheaply.

This is only if you have a wedding through DFTW unfortunately as Carrie says. Otherwise, you can book a dessert party through Catered Events and you wouldn't be able to wear your dress, but I know from experience trying to book something for work, the majority of the guests must be staying on property.

If you have an event at a resort, you can wear your dress.

I have this same issue!!! The PDF's appear blank on my mobile device and iPad. You can find them on a computer... Laptop or desktop. Is really weird.

Ok that's that idea out then as I'm pretty sure most guests won't be onsite.

What would the costs be for a GF dessert party? Is it a $1000 minimum? Is there any fee of the venue? And no doubt extra of the music too.
