wow, what a great challenge :) Do you have anything of a budget ? I'm guessing as it's for a great cause you need to keep it as inexpensive as possible. I'm not sure how creative you are but I love the old classic the snowman which is lovely for children or do you have use of a trainset for the polar express ? Where I used to work we recreated the '12 days of xmas' one year which was fab, we made a partridge out of pom poms, etc and it looked great fun. Here's hoping you get some great ideas from some creative people. Good luck and let us know what you go with :)

thanks

my budget is zilch , thats why im asking early so i can get ideas and any stock we get in , i can keep over

:cool1:

Great ideas Victoria :thumbsup2 I wish I was creative and could give you some ideas Simon. Let us know what you end up doing :santa:

I'll have a think and see what I come up with. I did wonder about something simple like a tree with cardboard boxes wrapped up underneath and with a christmas colouring in competition for children and you could also use their pictures to decorate the window, perhaps charging them 50p an entry and the best one gets a selection box ?

Or how about making a fireplace out of cardboard and decorating it with xmas stockings, etc. I'm trying to think what one of our local shops does which looks really creative. I'll see if my husband remembers and post back. Or how about making a gingerbread house our of cardboard boxes, decorating it with cotton wool for the icing and foil made to look like sweets, etc.

Hopefully you may get some school / nursery teachers as they always have creative ideas.

My first thought was something snow related- winter wonderlandish.

But theres loads of other great ideas here.

How about a giant advent calendar /count down to Christmas made of boxes - with differnt things spilling out of each

or you could get a local school involved to help out
