Need some hotel advice

My sister asked me to help her plan a trip to DLR. I've never been there so I thought I'd ask the experts.

We've got some of the details worked out however we need to find a hotel for her to stay at. In her words "I don't want anything fancy. we're only going to sleep there" so her concern is price more so than theme and closeness to the park.

If possible she would like to stay in a hotel where she can take a shuttle or walk and would prefer not to rent a car if at all possible. It would be her and her 8yo daughter on the trip. 5 days/4nights with a three day military discount hopper pass.

My questions
- Is there something similar to Garden Grocer where she can have food and water shipped to the hotel?
- As I know very little I'm open to other recommendations as this would be her first visit there as well. She's been to WDW

TIA for any and all information!

She can catch a shuttle from most (if not all) of the local hotels. The least expensive, walking distance hotel is Castle Inn, generally speaking with either making reservations ahead, or last minute (which is a few dollars less). You will be hard-pressed to find someone recommending this hotel outright, but those who have stayed there, who knew what they were getting, were satisfied. The lowest-price hotels I've seen within walking distance are Desert Inn & Suites, Del Sol, Hojo (Entertainment rate only), Anaheim Plaza and the Quality Inn on Manchester (I've seen all of these at about $59 at certain points in time). If they are actually lower than others for your given dates will vary. I personally have never had Castle Inn come up as the lowest-price option, but (once again) maybe it's just been my dates.

A little further walk and you've got the Super 8 on Katella, which seems to run about $50/night. I found the walk to be a little long, but it was a good value for us last August.

Vons will deliver to the hotels, but I believe there is a minimum purchase amount (maybe $50?).

Correct $50 for the first order is free, otherwise a charge applies.

If food needs are not great there is a 7eleven at the corner of Harbor and Katella. A 10 minutes walk or less than all the cheap hotels mentioned except quality inn.
