hi to all you experts. i am thinking of renting a car for our 5 day stay in march 2005, it will cost us about $200, but i was figurilng it might be worth it to venture out for cheaper food,(familuy of 5) and also with the cost of transportation from airport and back i thought it would be worth the money. i don;t know what the hotel charges a day to park your car and we are also thinking of going to seaworld so it would come in handy for that. i would appreciate all the advice you guys can give me. thanks!!! i forgot to say, we are stayning at the rpr

Parking at RPR is $6/day for self parking and $12/day for valet parking.

Here's what we did. We bought one of the I-Ride trolley tickets at the concierge desk at RPR. They also have the stops/info booklet there. You can purchase daily or weekly tickets....not really expensive, but don't remember exact...only a couple of $$. We then took a taxi ride over to Wet n' Wild for around $5 total for 4 of us. There are trolley stops right there and you can ride from one end to the other all day long for one ticket. A lot of the fast food, Ponderosa, etc. are located along the trolley route. This would probably work out much cheaper for you, especially since you'd have to pay daily parking at any of the US hotels on top of your rental car cost. There also is a free shuttle that runs to Sea World and Wet n' Wild. We weren't pleased with the scheduled pickups so we took a cab to Sea World.....around $40, which seems pricey, but would still be cheaper than doing the rental car. Plus, you don't have to deal with navigating through the traffic! Have fun!
