I think I've decided now the way to surprise the kids about our trip to Florida will be a DVD!
It'll start with them thinking they're watching our DVD from the last time we went, then the screen will 'go wrong'. Static, emergency broadcast type of thing.
Then this bit will reveal they're going to Florida but this is the bit I'm struggling with!
I'm trying to find somewhere that will let me type what I want and have it said in Mickey's voice, or something like that.
I'm trying to find somewhere that will let me add their name to an animation of some sort. So far I've found some but they won't run properly when I loads them to windows media player, it's just a still image (the ones I like are of a message in the sand, which then disappears as waves roll over it, perfect because I can use the same animation a few times in a row for a message).
Also struggling what exactly to say or how to go about making the rest of the 'story' ending with them jumping around the room
Any ideas would be welcome!!
At the minute I'm thinking we'll play this in the morning before they go to school (the whole surprise thing was a toss up between telling them on the day but they don't get to say bye to their friends, or doing it a week before but then losing the instant 'find out and go', so this is the best of both worlds) and then pick them up at lunch time after they've said their goodbyes and go straight to the hotel in London for the night
