the family is going to disney word next year and i would like to do a scrapbook for everyone who is going. :grouphug: we're talking about 15 adults and children. how do i do this a cheaply as possible. :confused3 my mother says use caution i'm making this too big, I wanted to give them each a scrapbook. i found some great stuff in the dollar tree but does anyone know where else? any help or ideas is greatly appreciated. :bitelip:

What about paper bag albums or handmade albums using chipboard for the outside covers? They could be decorated. I saw chipboard sheet for sale at LSS yesterday for .60 each.

I would do something small as far as albums are concerned for that many (An 5 x 7 or smaller0. Treat each part as though you were doing a swap (making large numbers of the same thing). Also look for things that you can print out (clip art) instead of stickers. I just got a lot os cardstock from scrapbook clearance inexpensively (the per sheet cost). You have to order a lot to get to their minimum but with that many albums it shouldn't be a problem.

wow that is a huge undertaking. One I don't think I could do!
Have you thought about maybe doing the online digital books? Not as personal but easier and probably cheaper in the long run. Or what about a dvd slide show? Great programs out there you can personalize it.
If you have your heart set on a scrap book I would go definately with the smaller book size. Use 5x7 of the group shots on one side and then maybe a few small pictures on the other.
I would also suggest to pick a color theme that is easy and not deal with a ton of paper paper. Maybe red, black, yellow and white. Or break it down by parks for colors. I saw one album done this way and it was stunning. Epcot was grey colors, MGM was dark blue and white, Animal Kingdon was browns and magic kingdom was traditional mickey colors. Keep embellishments simple to cut down on cost. have the pictures and journalling be your focus not tons of stickers and other expensive items. Ribbon is also a good choice it can be used as borders, accents to photo frames, etc....
Good luck! Have a wonderful trip!

Target's Bargains

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone! Just got back from my Target Store and their $1.00 bargain center had some great scrapbooking items. As usual I over bought too many things. Just couldn't pass them up. They had cute travel stickers, travel ribbon, buttons, 12x12 paper, 8x8 scrapbooks (many colors), 5x7 scrapbooks (in tropical colors), paper tags. and mini stamps with ink pads. My son was off finding swimming pants and called many times wondering where I was. You should check Target out!

Good luck!! You're brave to do so many, but if you keep them small and make each page assembly line style you'll be fine. Maybe design one book and then start page by page. :grouphug:

I was going to suggest paper bag albums, too. Or you could make your own 6x6 albums - cut 12x12 in half then staple a few sheets together down the center. But you'll definitely want to make it an assembly line processes with that many, no matter what you decide to do.
