Need some help regarding early check in

Here's what I am thinking. I want to drive down Friday night of our vacation and say off property in orlando. I then want to wake up early, check into POP around 8:00 am and then take the bus to a park. I know I won't have a room that early and don't plan on unpacking, but we will need to park the car there and use the bus system. I plan to take a late afternoon break, pick up the room key and then unpack. Can you check in this early? I don't want to leave our car in the lot without a parking permit or I would just wait to check in. Anyone else done this? We really enjoyed having a couple of days 'off' during our week and this would allow that down time. Thanks for your help!

We've checked in that early and sometimes a room was available - but it might not be your first choice of location and so you might prefer to choose a better location and return later that afternoon.

At check-in the CM will give you the room keys and a number to call later to see if the room is ready Then you just head over to POP, pick up luggage and off to the room! Oh, and they will give you the parking permit when you check-in that morning.

Yes you can do this. They will give you a permit and let you park. You can also leave your suitcases there and bell services can take them to your room once it's ready. The last time I stayed at POP we checked in at 9:00 am. Our room was not ready but they were able to tell us what room number we would have. Around 4:00 pm we went to the room and all our stuff was there for us.

When you check in, you will also be told the building that your room is located. You can move your car over to that parking lot so you don't have to do that when you get back.

BTW - just across I85 from you about three miles north of the Wal Mart.

We did this at POP recently with no problem. They won't tell you what room you'll have, but they will let you know what building you'll be in. We parked our luggage in their luggage pickup, and they will deliver it to your room when your room is ready.
