Ok, my family and I are going to DW in May for a quick trip (4 days). We are on the DDP. I thought I had everything planned out, but I think I made some mistakes. Can ya'll please review my plans and help me make changes where needed.
Day 1
Arriving at MCO on Saturday at 1:15pm.
ME to Pop Century.
Have an afternoon touring Epcot.
Coral Reef for dinner 6:15
Immuninations that night

Day2
Bus to MK
Monorail to Grand Floridian to 1800 Park Fair Character Breakfast
back to Magic Kingdom...
...then to Epcot (i guess on the monorail if it goes that way) to
eat at Le Cellier

Day 3
Bus to AK
Head to MGM after lunch
then I want to eat at Maya Grill, but I don't know which transportation to uses???How is Maya Grill, the menu looked like my kind of food...

Day 4
Epcot,
Rainforest Cafe for dinner OPP

Day 5
Our flight leaves at 3:00 ... will we have time to do anything this day?
Maybe DTD

I just feel like we are going to be doing a lot of riding to and from places to eat. I want a full day at MK, the rest I feel like we can do the rest in half days if we need, especially AK...not real big fans of it..

I want to eat a Le'Cellier, Coral Reef, Rainforest, breakfast at 1900 Park Fair, and I think Maya Grill for our Table services...

Any suggestions on how I can rearrange? The dates are May 5-9..
Thanks All!:confused3

Looks pretty good. You will be wasting a little time between parks, but not overly much. Monorail does run from MK to Epcot, so that will be an easy hop. You will need to use a bus between AK and MGM, and then a bus between MGM and CSR for Maya Grill, which is a bit too much traveling IMO. I would suggest ditching Maya Grill this time around, and picking something in MGM for that night. We did H&V last year, and it was pretty good. I have heard good things about Sci-Fi, Prime Time, and Mama Melrose as well. We are trying Prime Time this summer.

As for doing anything on your checkout day... get up early and enjoy the pool. Then check-out, drop off bags with ME, and go have lunch at DTD. Just be sure you know when to meet the shuttle for your flight, and allow a little extra time getting back to your resort from DTD. We thought that was the slowest bus last year - a good 15-20 minute wait.

Ok my 2 cents and I really dont know your family is this

1. You will be spending a great amount of time shuttling between parks. They may sound nearby but each way from your leaving the park, waiting for a bus, transit time and reaching the other park takes on an average 45-70 minutes. This will actually cut down on time you actually enjoy each park.

2. If you have to go to Epcot for just a dinner at world showcase remember u will have to cover alot of ground from the entrance to the world showcase atleast give urself 20-30 minutes. You can always enter thru the Worldshowacse entrance from the resorts.

3. Going from AK to MGM and then returning to MAya Grill at CSR [which is nearer to AK] does not seem practical.

4. If ur going with kids my suggestion is get dinner either at a TS in the park or a nearby resort instead of shuttling from park to park with tired kids in tow.

5. if your flight leaves at 3 pm and ur using ME u have to leave ur resort at 12pm or earlier. You can do DTD but it opens later than the parks so you have to think of that too.

Have you made your ADR's yet? If not Here's my few suggestions...

on DAY 2 make your 1900 park fare breakfast ADR early go there FIRST then go to MK for the whole day THEN hop to epcot. (you didn't mention if you were doing AM extra magic hours at MK that morning, if you are and you actually have time to do more than a few rides/attractions in MK before 1900 park fare than scratch this suggestion) otherwise, if there are no EMH for MK that you are taking advantage of, you are wasting precious park time in the one place you said you wanted to spend the most time.

on DAY 3 you mentioned you were starting out in AK. There is a rainforest cafe in AKA why not do a TS lunch there before going to MGM (gives you more park time and saves you a "park/resort" hop)

Day 4 hit Maya Grill if so desired.

Here's my suggestion:

Skip La Cellier on Day 2, stay at MK till your done there and go to Maya for dinner.

Day 3 have lunch at Rainforest at AK before going to MGM for the rest of the day. Eat dinner at MGM.

Day 4 eat at La Cellier since you'll be at EPCOT anyway.

ALTERNATE PLAN: Skip lunch at Rainforest on day 3, have lunch at AK, then go to MGM ---- Eat lunch on Day 5 at Rainforest in DTD before going home.

Never easy, is it??

On day 2 I would do a TS service meal in the MK. I wouldn't leave jsut to go to eat. I thin k Iread it is a good 30 minute ride to EPCOT, but your walking time.
then do your Le Cellier On day 4 when yo uare spednign the day at EPCOT. Do Rainforest on AK day.

Ditto...that's how I would plan it as well.

We have not done ddp for some time but the last time we did, lecellier and coral reef were both signatuire restaraunts. therefore they counted as two table services. is that the same

I would not eat at sci fi-it was one of my would nots again
We really enjoyed our meal at the Maya- was very good- but pricey if you have dining then do it for sure. csr is centrally located and doesnt take more than 10 -15 min by bus. get off at bus stop 1, much more worth your time
