Hey everyone ,

I am surprising my wife next week with a weekend trip to DL we are AP ... She has no idea I am just going to tell her pack your bag our plane leaves in a couple of hours ... We Love DL we have made a lot of memories there I even asked her to marry me on POC anyway. I just want to hear from everyone out there some romantic ideas. Now I am not saying I am not romantic but we go at least 5 times a year and I always try to think of new things to do for our family. Its kinda nice to get away without the kids because in reality we are big kids ourselves... Thanks for everyones help :wizard:

That is so sweet!! Is there any place you haven't ate at yet? Maybe a nice romantic dinner, Blue Bayou? I'm sure no matter what you plan, she'll love it.

Yea that's our favorite place to eat in the park ... we are going to eat there for dinner both nights Greaaaaaaat food nice atmosphere. She is going to flip out when i tell her

I am so happy for your wife that she has one of the good guys, I have one too!:goodvibes
Here are some ideas:
Get the bride and groom ears, I dont know if its near your anniversary but , you could relive your getting engaged on the POC boat and then get the hats and feel like Newly weds again. oh and you could even get a disney sort of ring and re ask her to marry you on the boat or just tell her how much you love her and put the ring on her finger.
Go get your silhouettes done on mainstreet me and Dfi did that.
Maybe you could go to PFF and get your faces painted , that would just be cute.
Anyways, that is a super sweet idea. You are rad! Have a wonderful time:cheer2:

Have something special sent to your room. A bottle of what ever she likes, chocolates, fruit, cheese...Im sure someone makes baskets.

Jewelry is always a nice surprise and you can buy that at home.

Massages might be nice.

Have you considered getting a limo from the airport to your hotel? If you're flying into LAX it might be prohibitive, but if it's LGB or SNA it might be doable. We were able to book one for about 115 (with taxes and tip) each way, and that included a bottle of champagne. It was Starz Limo. They were ok, I don't know that I'd recommend them... the car wasn't as nice as the one they said we'd get. On the other hand, it was pretty cool to surprise my spouse at the airport. And they put a bottle champagne in there for us at my request, at no extra charge (admittedly it was Andre, but hey...) Anyway, it was really special and luxurious to get door-to-door treatment and pretend to be rock stars!

one year i took my wife and kids over our anniversary and on our last day first thing in the morning i got down on one knee in front of the castle and pulled out a ring and asked her to marry me again. she had absolutely no clue it was coming and she loves to tell the story.

This is so sweet!!!! I can't even believe it! :thumbsup2

If you haven't already made arrangements for your hotel, I would recommend getting a room with a view of the fireworks. Fireworks are very romantic! :goodvibes

Having something special waiting in the hotel room is also an excellent idea---something specific to your wife's interests would be good.

I second the suggestion for the Blue Bayou--especially since you proposed to her on POC. The ambiance is great for this sort of trip, as I'm sure you well know. ;)

I love the whole idea!!!!!! Overall, I just think Disneyland itself is really romantic.

Ok, can some of you guys with these romantic ideas please please please have a little talk with my DH? :rotfl:

Yeah, I'm married to an engineer.

O.K, so, I have to tell this story. We went to DL for our anniversary and I told my DH that we had to ride Storybook Land Canal boats and pretend it was the tunnel of love, but when we got there the ride was closed for refurbs. So, we were standing there looking forlornly (so, can't spell that) and a CM came and talked to us and tried to help us think of another ride to use as the tunnel of love and she gave us a front-of-the line pass, some anniversary buttons, and little bottles of bubbles to blow on the ride (Oh, and some Year of a million dreams Tinkerbell pins). We ended up going on Alice and Wonderland, but the bubbles were fun because everyone behind us kept saying, "I don't remember bubbles on this ride." :rotfl: We even used the bubbles to entertain a very bored kid waiting for fireworks. I love Disneyland! (And I'm so bringing bubbles for waiting for fireworks with the kids)

Oh, we were also walking right between the lands in the evening when they started playing the song, "When you Wish Upon a Star" and I told my DH that every time you hear that song you have to dance with someone you love, so we started dancing in the middle of the plaza :lovestruc

I must be easy to please...the surprise trip to DL would put me over the moon!

 but really, someone mentioned a massage, I've always wanted to do a couples massage. That would be fun...

Mostly, I think just the idea that you planned the whole thing with her in mind...that alone would make me happy!

Have a great time!

Maybe one of the custom art prints from Off The Page in DCA...those are my absolute favorite, and you can have them write the date and everything on there so you guys will always remember...

I think everything you're doing is wonderful though, and I'm with avalon...share some of these with my DBF, he is a computer science guy, lol.

I say ask...the worst they can say is Nope, Sorry.

Good Luck!

ps...I'm sensing a theme with all the "computer/techy" DH's!! :rotfl: Mine's one too!:surfweb:

Husband here, if I could put it toghether I would take the groom hat and ears(we have them from our wedding ;) )wear them and get a sash made like the pagent girls wear that says "I Love This Woman" or something corny like that but that is me and she likes that thing.Maybe call guest relations and see if they have any anniversary things they do.Have something delivered to the room while there or prior to getting there?Ask the CM for a solo boat on POTC to commemorate the proposal?Has that already been suggested?Oh, if you can get the ears before the trip where them all the way there. We got cheers and stuff like that all the way there. My 2c:thumbsup2
