If just one trip in our 28 years was planned by someone else I'd be thrilled. Trip planning is not my DH thing, but I do receive fresh roses for my vase on our table almost daily.

Husband here, if I could put it toghether I would take the groom hat and ears(we have them from our wedding )wear them and get a sash made like the pagent girls wear that says "I Love This Woman" or something corny like that but that is me and she likes that thing.Maybe call guest relations and see if they have any anniversary things they do.Have something delivered to the room while there or prior to getting there?Ask the CM for a solo boat on POTC to commemorate the proposal?Has that already been suggested?Oh, if you can get the ears before the trip where them all the way there.We got cheers and stuff like that all the way there.My 2c

LOL, my engineer geek DH is the sweetest, best dad, and spoils me rotten-- but you just have to draw him a map of what to do. Then he'll figure it's a good formula and stick with it-- for YEARS, sometimes-- until you give him a new suggestion. An example: I once told him how I thought it was romantic in a book I read, where a husband gave his wife a string of pearls when she had their first daughter, with the idea that they could be passed on. A year or so later, we had our first child, a girl-- and a few weeks later for my first mother's day, lo and behold, a beautiful and expensive string of Mikimoto pearls. Tears, declarations that he's the sweetest husband, etc... he's glowing in the satisfaction of a job well done and an amazed wife. Three years later, another daughter, and lo and behold, another string of pearls. Wow, beautiful! Thank you! Now I have... two! I can pass them on! No way would I ever wear both of them together, we don't do opera or anything like that... but hey... 4 years later, our final child, another beautiful little girl... I said, "Honey, I loved the pearls, but after three kids what I could really use is an elliptical exercise machine." So that's what I got. She can have the pearl earrings! I love my DH! He's my techno geek in shining armor!

Yeah, I'm married to an engineer.

Had a chuckle...I too am married to an engineer. However, there is some kind of hope. My DH loves Disney, have APs, knows that the way to my heart is to suggest spending a few hours at DL and even took me to dinner at Napa Rose for my bday. For our 30th Anniversary, he was the one who wanted to go to WDW and even went along with us buying DVC points.
It took 33 years to get this far and I have given up on jewelry or a dozen red roses.

OMG...do they take classes in engineering school for this?
My DH and your DH maybe related or went to the same engineering DH school.

You guys have great stores ... I think I know what I am going to do ...I am the type of husband that does spontaneous things I love Surprising my wife she's the best woman in the world to me and our kids now after doing a little 007 action I found out my wife has been dying for a trip to Hawaii So I booked it for us ....

What a guy!!! If the weather stays nice for you next weekend have lunch on the patio at the Trattoria in DCA with a nice glass of wine relaxing in DCA.
Had Mother's Day lunch there, it was wonderful.
