Need some help finding a pen...

I hope someone can help. We leave for WDW on Friday. I made a photobook on Shutterfly for my DD that characters can autograph. Anyone know what kind of pen will be the best for the characters to use? I am looking for something that will dry fast so that it doesn't smear and will last through the years without fading.

Retractable fat sharpies? That's what we use. I don't know how well they work on photobooks though - do you have anything that has the same surface as the book that you can test smeariness and dryability (words?) on?

I tried some scrapbooking archival pens and they smeared. Thanks, I will try a sharpie on a magazine cover and see how that works. My DD is 5 so quick drying time is a must

There is a pen for writing on photos - don't know what the name of it is, but I have one, and it works GREAT!

You need a slick writer. American Crafts makes them.
