Need some help CBR OR value

I have been back and forth over this in my mind.

We are currently set up for CBR with free dining Sept 1-6 for 3 adults (36,35,12), one child (7) and an infant (18mos). It is $1843 total with 7 day park hoppers included.
IF I downgrade to POP or an Allstars I can stay for about $350 less.

The concern for me is the size of the room mostly.
Also this will be my husband's first stay onsite and I want to show him it is more than just a hotel closer to Disney.

I am thinking to stay with CBR but $350 is a lot of money.

What do you guys think?

It so funny as this seems to be the big question around here (I just faced the same thing.)

In my case, I decided to go with POP over POFQ. It saved me $500. However, there are only 4 in my party and the 2 kids are only 5 & 7. In your case, with a party of 5, I would think that the extra sf that mod provides might be beneficial for you. Especially since have older kids as well. If the $350 doesn't break the bank for you, I would stick with CBR.

I've also recently changed to a value. We chose ASMu over POFQ. We ended up saving around $500. There are only 4 of us, 2 adults & 2 children (10 & 6). Since there are 5 in your party I would discuss it with you DH. Let him know that it's going to be cramped and ask him can he deal w/ that or would yall be better off to spend the extra.

You may be surprised that they really don't care where you stay. I've recently learned that DH and DD's could care less. I'm the only one in the house that stresses over it. [/B

I can't help you with your question. Vacation is to be enjoyed and hanging with the masses wouldn't be my idea of a relaxing vacation. BUT if I had a choice between 2 trips or a longer trip if I saved money and stayed at a value I would stay at the value, more Disney is better than less Disney

That's exactly what we did. We added an additional night and park hoppers. Gotta love all the time you can get at Disney.

Personally, if you can afford the difference I would stick with CBR. The CBR is a step above the Value Resorts. More amentities and better themeing. Slide at the pool for the kids and a great feeling of being on a vacation within your Disney vacation is a great bonus.

If it was me, I would stay with CBR if you can afford the extra money. CBR has the most beautiful tropical themeing with white, sandy beaches and friendly ducks. We are going in July and this will be or fifth stay at CBR. The room size is 340 sq ft with two double sinks with storage. For my group (DG-75, DD-20, DD-17, me-46) the rooms are perfect for us. I, also, like that the room has a coffee maker and refrigerator in it. We stay in Jamaica and this is just a short walk across the bridge to the food court and main pool with a slide. We have always had very good bus service and we use the bus system the whole time we are there. Check out Safetymom's FAQ about CBR. She has a ton of great information on CBR. Good luck with your decision.

I wish it was that kind of choice but sadly no. It is one trip only till 2009 when we will be taking his parents and we can't stay at Disney longer either.

Thank you all for your input. I did show him the choices and he agreed with you all about the space and we are staying with CBR.

another thing to think about is that the CBR has a curtain that seperates the bathroom area from the main area just in case you need to put the playben in the more secluded area, not 100% sure it will fit but I believe there was room.
