I'm not an expert but have a
little bit of experience....first, go to mousesavers.com or carrentalsavers.com (my new favorite site) and get some codes/coupons. Get the lowest price you can and book it...this is your fall back position. Now, decide what price you'd
like to pay being a reasonable person. For 6 nights at this time of year I'm thinking about $150-$175 total. (just my opinion). Now, go to priceline and bid so the final price is something that falls in your range. If you don't get it today, you can try tomorrow, the next day, the next day... Also, important to note, that Priceline may not, for example, give you the midsize car for $20/day but if you switch to full or standard, you may win
that bid. Don't be afraid to try that little maneuver. For our 6 nights in Orlando next week, I got a full size for $162 (
Avis) through Priceline last week. Admittedly, I booked late and this is a very high travel time so I'm not
thrilled with the price but I can live with it. Good luck and happy travels.
