First off, I want to state that I am a VERY picky eater (thanks to my mom) and I know I dont have the best eating habits. I'm not looking for a complete overhaul of my diet right now, cuz I'm not ready, instead, I want to do baby steps and start with some healthier snacks (as opposed to cookies, etc). I've cut back my soda to 1 per day, dont drink coffee tea, hardly ever alcohol. I really just want to lose 10 pounds. I don't eat many veggies, which I know is bad, but that is not an option for snacks. I would almost guarentee that things that people suggest, I'll say "I dont like that" BUT I want to try to be somewhat open to new items and try some. I've been lately trying pretzels, which aren't the best probably, but at least better than sweets. Also have been having the natural applesauce and sugar free jello. I have to cut back on butter too (you dont even want to know how much butter I use). Anyway, thanks for listening, and if anyone has any suggestions for me, either for snacks or weight loss, that would be great!

I don't know what healthy eating plan you are on so I will tak a jab at one or two suggestions other than the veggies route.

**Try a "handful" of nuts. I prefer almonds for my handful.
**Fruit, I love an apple and consider it a delight when I can take my apple and a good mindless book for a few minutes to enjoy.
**Low-fat string cheese or any 1 oz. cheese serving
**For something crunchy, a serving of granola and a serving of berries

I love reduced fat Triscuits with salsa. Yummy!

There's alot of things I love. If I'm craving something sweet I usually grab a low fat graham cracker and put some marshmallow fluff on it (you could use peanut butter too but I try to stay away from peanut butter).

If you are just looking to cut back on calories there are several kinds of 100 calorie snack packs out there including Chips Ahoy that might work. Fewer calories than a bunch of cookies but you get the cookie taste. :)

Popcorn (light or no butter - they also make these in 100 calorie packs)
Fruit (grapes, apple, banana, kiwi, etc.)
Fat Free Fudgesicle
Wheat tortilla with a little bit of no/low-fat cheese melted in the microwave with a little salsa for a quesadilla

Fruit, 100 calorie chips ahoy or oreo, teddy grahams, gold fish, fat free pringles, fat free pudding. I don't have any exciting suggestions for you.
